Designed for dancers who want an animal-free ballet shoe but find standard medium widths restrictive, this version gives broader feet additional room without losing the close feel of stretch canvas.
Premium stretch canvas follows the shape of the foot, while the flexible split sole allows natural articulation through every tendu, relevé and point. Available in Pink, White and Black, the SD16VG C is a practical vegan studio shoe for dancers who need both flexibility and genuine forefoot width.

The premium stretch canvas upper sits closely around the foot, helping minimise excess fabric while allowing natural movement through the toes, metatarsals and arch. Underneath, vegan micro-suede alternative toe and heel pads create an animal-free split sole construction while maintaining the flexibility and floor connection required for regular ballet training.
Pre-sewn crossed elastics hold the shoe securely across the instep, while the elasticated drawstring-free topline keeps the opening smooth and uncomplicated. The universal construction means there is no designated left or right shoe when new, allowing each shoe to gradually adapt through regular wear.

For most dancers, approximately 1–1½ UK sizes above measured foot length provides a comfortable everyday ballet fit while allowing the stretch canvas to remain smooth and connected around the foot.
First Ballet Shoes & Young Dancers
For first ballet shoes and younger dancers, approximately 1½–2 UK sizes above measured foot length usually provides comfortable growing room while maintaining a secure ballet fit.
Width C Fit Note
C is the wide-fitting version and is designed for dancers who need additional room through the forefoot and metatarsals. The toes should be able to lie naturally without compression, but the shoe should still sit smoothly around the foot without obvious folds or an insecure heel.
If C creates excess fabric or feels loose despite the correct length, the SD16VG B medium width may provide the better fit.
