How to fit tap shoes

For optimal performance and comfort, your So Danca TA57 High Heel Tap Dance Shoes should fit snugly but not too tight. Here are some key points to ensure the best fit:

1. Snug Fit: The shoes should hug your feet closely to provide support and stability while allowing you to feel the floor beneath your feet. This close fit helps in achieving precise movements and better sound quality from the taps.

2. No Excessive Tightness: While the fit should be snug, it should not cause discomfort or restrict blood circulation. Make sure there is enough room to wiggle your toes slightly.

3. Secure Closure: The buckle closure should be fastened securely to prevent the shoes from slipping off during your performance. However, it should not be so tight that it digs into your skin.

4. Heel Placement: The 2” heel should align with your heel's natural position, providing adequate support without causing your foot to slide forward. Ensure your heel sits comfortably within the heel cup.

5. Arch Support: Look for a fit that offers good arch support. The shoe’s design should conform to the shape of your arch, providing necessary support without causing strain.

NOTE: Note: When trying on and testing out our tap shoes we highly recommend trying them on carpet to prevent scratching the taps. Shoes returned with scratched taps will not be accepted.

Drying: Always air dry your tap shoes at room temperature.
Storage: Store your tap shoes in a cool, dry place. Use a shoe bag.
Tap Maintenance: Regularly check the taps for tightness.

Fit: True to size. Regural Fit. We recommend you order your shoe size.
Break-In Period: Expect a short break-in period. The genuine leather sole will become more flexible and comfortable with use, molding to the shape of your foot over time.
