Before Choosing Your Size

Take dancewear measurements over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. For shoes, measure both feet while standing and use the longer foot as your starting point.

Bust / Chest Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape straight and level around the body.

Waist Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso.

Hips Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat, keeping the tape level.

Girth Start at one shoulder, measure down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back to the same shoulder in one continuous loop.

Foot Length Measure from heel to longest toe while standing. Measure both feet and use the longer measurement.

There is nothing decorative or distracting about the TA800. Its black leather, sculpted Oxford panels and tonal stitching create a focused, professional appearance that lets the rhythm speak for itself. The TA800 is constructed from premium genuine leather, shaped into a traditional four-eyelet Oxford with stitched panel detailing across the sides and forefoot. The leather gradually softens and adapts around the foot, while the cushioned collar and soft interior lining help reduce pressure through long rehearsals.

Underfoot, a structured double leather sole creates greater tonal depth and projection than a single-sole student shoe. The built-up construction feels firm when new, but this resistance gives experienced dancers a substantial platform from which to produce controlled, deliberate sounds.

A solid wood heel adds resonance and definition to heel work, while the microcellular rubber forefoot pad provides targeted grip behind the toe tap. Large pre-attached metal toe and heel taps complete the sound-focused build, giving the TA800 a clear, strong response suited to advanced training and stage performance.

Why It Works: The TA800 introduces the double leather sole, solid wood heel and larger taps associated with professional footwear while remaining suitable for dancers progressing from lighter student shoes.

Sound Character: Expect a strong, clear response with more body and projection than a single-sole Oxford. Compared with some heavier professional shoes, the TA800 tends towards a slightly brighter sound rather than an especially dark or bass-heavy tone.

The Break-In Reality: Dancer feedback suggests the TA800 can feel very firm when first worn. This is part of its built-up construction rather than a fault. The leather and sole gradually become more responsive, but the shoe will always retain more resistance than a lightweight or split-sole model.

Dance World Tip: Break the TA800 in through shorter studio sessions before wearing it for a long rehearsal or performance. Do not soak, heat or force the leather, the shoe should soften gradually through controlled wear.
