Because satin has very little natural stretch, extra room is more noticeable than with leather or stretch canvas ballet shoes. The adjustable cotton drawstring allows small adjustments to achieve a neat, secure fit around the front of the foot.

Allow satin ballet shoes to air naturally after each class or performance.
Gently remove surface dust using a soft dry cloth. Avoid excessive rubbing, as satin is a delicate fabric designed primarily for presentation rather than everyday durability.
Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

Once the shoes begin taking shape, many dancers choose to mark the inside with L and R so each shoe continues moulding comfortably to the same foot.
