Care information

Check the Taps: Regularly inspect the taps to ensure they are securely attached. Tighten any loose screws as needed.
Condition the Leather: Use a leather conditioner periodically to keep the leather soft and supple. This helps maintain its durability and appearance.
Air Dry: After each use, air dry the shoes to prevent moisture build-up. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources, as they can dry out the leather.

Break-In Period: Like most leather shoes, the So Danca TA68 may require a short break-in period. Wear them for shorter sessions initially to allow the leather to mold to your feet.

How to fit Tap Shoes

Proper fit is crucial for optimal performance and comfort when it comes to tap dance shoes. Here are some guidelines to ensure your So Danca TA68 leather split sole tap dance shoes fit perfectly:

1. Snug but Comfortable: The shoes should fit snugly without being too tight. A close fit ensures that your foot can move with precision and that the taps produce clear sounds. However, they shouldn't pinch or cause discomfort.

2. Secure Heel: The heel should fit securely without slipping. This is particularly important for maintaining balance and preventing injury during dance routines.

3. Toe Space: There should be minimal space between your toes and the front of the shoe. Your toes should not be cramped but should be close to the edge to allow for better control and sound production.

Note: When trying on and testing out our tap shoes we highly recommend trying them on carpet to prevent scratching the taps. Shoes returned with scratched taps will not be accepted.
