For the most accurate fit, always begin with your measured foot length rather than your everyday shoe size.

Advanced & Professional Dancers
Many experienced dancers prefer a close performance fit, choosing approximately their measured foot size or around ½ UK size above, depending on personal preference.

Growing Students & Adult Beginners
Approximately 1 UK size above measured foot length usually provides a comfortable everyday ballet fit while allowing room for natural movement.

First Ballet Shoes & Young Dancers
Approximately 1½–2 UK sizes above measured foot length generally provides comfortable growing room while maintaining a secure ballet fit.

Care information

Allow leather ballet shoes to air naturally after each class.
Wipe clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and allow them to dry naturally away from direct heat.
The leather upper will gradually soften and mould to the foot with regular wear.

Once the shoes begin taking shape, many dancers choose to mark the inside with L and R so each shoe continues moulding comfortably to the same foot.
