The 008 is a bit of an unusual character - and that's exactly why it earns its place. Dancers looking for a heel this low often gravitate towards more enclosed shoes, but not everyone wants to hide the foot. The 008 keeps the reassuringly grounded feeling of a very low block heel while giving you delicate silver straps, an open toe and a much lighter dance-floor look.

The defining feature is impossible to miss: a remarkably low 2.8cm block heel with a particularly generous contact area beneath the foot. It keeps the dancer very close to the floor and creates an exceptionally stable base for weight transfers, turns and travelling movement.

That makes the 008 particularly approachable for dancers who feel uncomfortable on traditional Ballroom heels, anyone returning to dancing after time away, or social dancers who simply prefer a more grounded position. Importantly, choosing a lower heel doesn't mean the shoe needs to look completely practical.

Across the front, six slender silver straps are stitched onto a supporting net that allows the forefoot to adapt around the shape of the foot. Compared with a solid closed vamp, the construction feels visually lighter and allows considerably more of the foot to remain exposed.

This open design is also what makes the 008 quite specific. If your priority is both a very low heel and maximum coverage around the toes, one of our closed-front Ballroom styles may suit you better. Choose the 008 when you want the stability of a low shoe but still enjoy the appearance and freedom of a strappy sandal.

The intersecting heel strap helps keep the shoe securely positioned and uses Diamant's adjustable push-button fastening. Inside, breathable, moisture-absorbing microfibre supports comfort through longer sessions, while the professional brushed leather dance sole provides the controlled turning and glide expected on a suitable indoor dance floor.
