Clean Regularly: Wipe the surface of the shoes with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. Avoid soaking the shoes in water.
Air Dry: After cleaning, let the shoes air dry at room temperature. Do not use a direct heat source such as a hairdryer or radiator.
Check Taps Regularly: Ensure the heel and toe taps are securely fastened. Tighten or replace screws if they become loose.

HOW TO FIT TAP SHOES
Ensuring your tap shoes fit correctly is crucial for comfort, performance, and preventing injury. Here’s how your So Danca Oxford Style Black Tap Shoes should fit:

1. Snug Fit: Tap shoes should fit snugly, like a glove. There should be minimal space between your foot and the shoe to provide better control and sound production. However, they shouldn't be so tight that they cause discomfort or restrict movement.

2. No Pinching or Rubbing: Ensure there is no pinching at the toes or rubbing at the heel. If you experience discomfort in these areas, the shoes might be too small or not the right shape for your foot.

3. Secure Heel: The heel should fit securely without slipping. A slipping heel can lead to blisters and reduce the stability needed for precise tapping.

4. Proper Toe Room: While the shoes should be snug, there should still be enough room to wiggle your toes slightly. This helps in maintaining balance and comfort during extended wear.

5. Laces Adjusted Properly: The cotton laces should be tied securely to provide a custom fit. Make sure they are tight enough to keep the shoe snug but not so tight that they cause discomfort.

Note: When trying on and testing out our tap shoes we highly recommend trying them on carpet to prevent scratching the taps. Shoes returned with scratched taps will not be accepted.

TRYING TAP SHOES ON:
Wear Dance Socks: When trying on your tap shoes, wear the type of dance socks you plan to use during performances to get an accurate fit.
Break-In Period: Keep in mind that tap shoes may have a short break-in period. Initially, they may feel a bit tight but will gradually adapt to the shape of your foot.
