BL305 moves away from the traditional social Ballroom construction into a much more responsive Latin sandal. Fine interlaced straps shape the forefoot while leaving the toes open, allowing the foot to articulate naturally and creating the elegant, exposed line associated with Latin footwear.
The leather upper is designed to soften and become more personal with wear, while the crossing strap arrangement helps hold the foot securely as weight moves quickly through the forefoot.
A 3" braced Latin heel creates a higher, more dynamic dance position. The braced construction adds useful stability beneath the heel while retaining the elongated silhouette expected from a performance-oriented Latin shoe.
What really separates CHA CHA from a conventional suede-soled sandal, however, is underneath the foot. So Danca's Duo Sole combines suede and rubber to balance the controlled glide dancers need for pivots and turns with additional traction where grip is useful. It gives BL305 a distinctly more versatile underfoot character than a traditional all-suede Latin sole.

Dance World Notes
Three inches feels very different from our social heels.
This is a proper Latin heel position. The braced construction makes it more reassuring than its slim silhouette might suggest, but dancers moving up from a low social heel should still expect a noticeable change in balance and weight placement.
And we love the little LS charm.
It's a tiny detail, but it gives the shoe some personality. Together with the rhinestone buckle, it's just enough decoration on an otherwise very dancer-focused Latin sandal.
Dance World Fit Advice
Overall Fit
BL305 is designed for a close Latin fit. We recommends women begin from their regular street-shoe size, but for a close performance fit you may like to size down - approximately half a size.
Forefoot Fit
The toes should reach comfortably towards the front of the sandal without the foot sliding excessively beyond the sole. The leather straps will soften with wear, so avoid choosing unnecessary growing or comfort room at the front.
Heel & Ankle
The heel should sit securely into the back of the shoe, with the adjustable strap holding the foot firmly enough that the shoe follows naturally through turns and directional changes.
BL305 Fit Note
This is a Medium-width performance sandal rather than a generous comfort-fit social shoe. Dancers with particularly wide forefeet should judge the strap placement carefully rather than automatically sizing up, as excessive length can compromise the heel fit.
