RO12 is deliberately uncomplicated. It is a practical ballet character shoe made for students who need stability, predictable floor contact and enough flexibility to move naturally without the shoe feeling overly soft or demanding.

The strong canvas upper keeps RO12 lightweight and comfortable while providing enough structure for regular classes and examination work. A softly shaped vamp creates a neat classical line, while the pre-sewn elastic strap holds the shoe securely across the instep without buckles or additional sewing.

Underneath, a full soft suede sole provides the traditional floor response required for ballet character work. Unlike a split sole, the continuous construction gives younger dancers a reassuringly stable platform while still allowing the foot to articulate through steps, relevés and travelling movement.

The moderate shank sits nicely between support and flexibility. For students learning to work confidently through a character shoe, that balance is useful: there is enough resistance beneath the foot to feel supported without making the shoe unnecessarily rigid.

A 1" / approx. 2.5 cm low heel introduces elevation gently. Its low, stable shape makes RO12 particularly appropriate for younger graded dancers before progressing into a higher Cuban-heel character shoe. Cushioning through the upper and sole also makes it comfortable for classes, rehearsals and examination days.
