Before Choosing Your Size

Take dancewear measurements over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. For shoes, measure both feet while standing and use the longer foot as your starting point.

Bust / Chest Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape straight and level around the body.

Waist Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso.

Hips Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat, keeping the tape level.

Girth Start at one shoulder, measure down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back to the same shoulder in one continuous loop.

Foot Length Measure from heel to longest toe while standing. Measure both feet and use the longer measurement.

Clean, close-fitting and beautifully minimal, the So Danca BA45 Canvas Half Sole gives contemporary dancers protection beneath the working forefoot without disguising the natural shape or movement of the foot.

Stretch canvas hugs the forefoot with a soft second-skin feel, while a durable suede pad creates a dedicated surface for turns and protects the metatarsal area from repeated floor contact. A single tone-matching elastic keeps everything securely positioned while leaving the heel, arch and much of the foot completely free.

The precision minimalist. BA45 feels beautifully edited: stretch canvas around the working forefoot, one clean elastic around the heel and very little else. The result is a half sole that stays visually quiet while giving dancers exactly the coverage they need for turns and repeated floor contact.

The foundation of BA45 is its hug-the-foot stretch canvas. Rather than holding the forefoot in a rigid shape, the fabric adapts closely to the dancer's foot, allowing the toes and metatarsals to articulate naturally while keeping excess material to a minimum.

Underneath, a durable suede forefoot pad protects the high-contact metatarsal area and creates a consistent working surface for turns. It gives dancers enough separation from the studio floor to reduce direct friction while preserving the close floor feedback that makes half soles so useful for contemporary work.

BA45 also uses carefully positioned side-seam construction to follow the natural contour of the foot. Combined with the stretch upper, this helps create the smooth, fitted appearance that gives BA45 its particularly streamlined character.

What stands out is how clean BA45 feels on the foot. The stretch canvas does the fitting work while one simple elastic keeps everything in place, so there is very little hardware or extra material to distract from the barefoot sensation.
