Bodile women's sizing uses overlapping size ranges from XXS/XS through L/XL. For the most reliable fit, compare your bust, waist, hip and torso-length measurements rather than converting directly from everyday clothing size. For leotards, torso length is particularly useful when deciding between two overlapping sizes.

Bodile's size ranges intentionally overlap. If your bust, waist or hips comfortably fit two sizes, use torso length as an important deciding measurement for leotards. A longer torso may feel more comfortable in the larger overlapping size, while a shorter torso may suit the smaller option.
How to Measure for Bodile Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting dancewear using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.
Torso Length
Key Leotard MeasurementFollow Bodile's measuring diagram and measure the length of the torso vertically down the body. Keep the tape straight and close to the body without pulling it tight.
Bodile calls this measurement Torso Length. It should not be substituted with the full shoulder-through-crotch girth loop commonly used by some other dancewear brands.
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape straight and level around the body without compressing it.
Waist
Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not included in Bodile's women's size table, but it can be useful when considering overall body proportions alongside torso length.
Bodile women's sizes are intentionally grouped into overlapping ranges: XXS/XS, XS/S, S/M, M/L and L/XL. This gives dancers flexibility when choosing their preferred fit. Use all four published body measurements together, with torso length particularly useful for fitted leotards. Where two sizes overlap, consider both body length and how close you prefer your dancewear to feel.

The Bodile Valentina Noire Ink Ash long sleeve ballet leotard brings elegant texture to a classic black ballet wardrobe. Velvet corset-style panels frame the front, sheer sleeves soften the arm line and a large open back adds definition from behind. With its square neckline and sculpting ECOSCULPT® body, this Australian-designed leotard works beautifully with tights alone or a flowing rehearsal skirt.
Bodile Valentina Noire Ink Ash Ballet Leotard – Design & Performance
Black velvet corset-style panelling gives Valentina its distinctive front. Curved seams extend from the square neckline towards a softly pointed lower edge, with the velvet’s gentle sheen making the panel shape visible within the dark palette.
Full-length SUPRABLIME® mesh sleeves create a sheer, super-soft and breathable finish across the shoulders and arms. Black BODILE elastic defines the neckline and frames the large open back, which fastens with a gold butterfly clasp at the nape. A small gold emblem sits below the back opening.
The main body uses ECOSCULPT® — 78% ECONYL® regenerated nylon and 22% Lycra. Supportive compression, two-way stretch and strong shape retention give the fabric a close, sculpting feel. Its pilling resistance and moisture-wicking properties add practical performance details for class and rehearsals.
A classic ballet leg line and 100% cotton gusset complete the design. The smooth body and velvet front contrast with the deliberately sheer sleeves and open back.
