1. Snug but Comfortable: The shoes should fit snugly around your foot without being too tight. Your toes should have enough room to wiggle slightly, but not slide around. A secure fit helps maintain control and precision in your movements.

2. Secure Heel: Ensure the heel fits securely without slipping. The solid wood heel of the TA805 is designed to provide stability and support, so it’s essential that your heel doesn’t lift out of the shoe while dancing.

3. No Pinching or Pressure Points: The cushion-lined opening of the TA805 is designed for comfort. Make sure there are no areas that pinch or cause discomfort. Walk around and perform a few dance moves to test for any pressure points.

4. Flexibility and Support: The leather upper should provide a balance of flexibility and support. The shoe should bend slightly with your foot but still feel supportive around the arch and ankle.

Note: When trying on and testing out our tap shoes we highly recommend trying them on carpet to prevent scratching the taps. Shoes returned with scratched taps will not be accepted.

Tap Maintenance: Check the taps regularly for tightness. Use a screwdriver to tighten any loose screws.
Regular Cleaning: Wipe the leather upper with a damp cloth after each use to remove dirt and sweat.
Leather Conditioning: Apply a leather conditioner periodically to keep the leather supple and prevent cracking.

Fit: True to size. Regural Fit. We recommend you order your shoe size.

Break-In Period: Like all leather shoes, the TA805 may require a short break-in period. They should feel comfortable initially, but they will mold to the shape of your foot with wear, becoming even more comfortable over time.

Proper Sock Choice: Consider wearing the type of socks or tights you typically use for dancing when fitting your shoes. This ensures a more accurate fit.
