Say goodbye to frizz and unruly hair!
Description
Description
The ponytail is simple. Getting the surface beautifully smooth is often the part that takes a little more patience. The Smooth Company Mane Master™ Curved Smoothing Hair Brush is designed for exactly that stage, helping bring shorter hairs and flyaways into a sleek, polished finish.
Its curved shape follows the contours of the head, while natural boar bristles help smooth the hair into place. From a neat ballet bun before class to a slick-back ponytail for dinner, this is a brush with a very clear purpose: making the finishing work feel easier.
The Smooth Company Mane Master – Why You'll Love It
The shaped design follows the head, helping you guide the hair towards your ponytail or bun.
Designed to smooth the surface and help distribute the hair's natural oils for a more polished appearance.
Useful around the crown, sides and hairline when shorter strands need bringing into the finished style.
A dedicated smoothing tool for polished dance hair, sleek ponytails and neatly gathered everyday updos.
Mane Master Curved Smoothing Brush – Design & Everyday Use
The defining feature of the Mane Master is its curve. Rather than using a flat brush against a rounded surface, the design follows the shape of the head as you work around the crown and sides.
The boar bristles help bring the outer layer of hair together, making this a useful choice when your goal is a smooth, close-to-the-head finish rather than extra volume or a deliberately undone look.
Think of it as your smoothing brush, not your knot-removal brush. Work through tangles with a suitable detangling tool first, then use Mane Master on dry hair to refine the surface. For thicker hair, smoothing manageable sections can be easier than trying to gather everything in one pass.
What The Smooth Company Customers Notice
Customer feedback highlights easier slick-back styling and a smooth-looking result. The appeal is practical: making a familiar hairstyle feel more polished without adding another complicated step. For anyone who regularly wears sleek ponytails or buns, that finishing stage is exactly where a dedicated smoothing brush earns its place.
How to Use Mane Master for a Smooth Ponytail or Ballet Bun
Start with dry, detangled hair. Decide on your parting and ponytail position before beginning the smoothing stage.
Hold the gathered hair with one hand and brush the crown and sides towards it using gentle, controlled strokes.
Fasten the ponytail with a suitable elastic. For ballet, shape the bun and secure it with your usual net and pins.
Check the hairline and surface. Use a targeted finishing product where needed rather than adding more everywhere.
The brush creates the smooth finish; your elastic and pins provide the hold. Before class or a performance, check that the completed hairstyle feels comfortable and secure during movement.
Dance World Beauty Advice – The Smooth Company Mane Master
Why We Love It
It's for that familiar moment when the hairstyle is nearly there, but the crown and sides haven't quite joined in. Having a brush specifically for smoothing makes sense when polished hair is part of your regular routine, rather than something you create only for special occasions.
Styling Tip
Work towards your chosen ponytail position instead of repeatedly changing brushing direction. Hold the gathered hair steady as you smooth each area, and aim for a neat surface rather than an increasingly tight hairstyle.
A Little Brush Care
Mane Master has a wooden body and natural bristles, so keep it out of the shower and away from styling heat. Remove trapped hair regularly, avoid soaking and allow it to dry bristle-side down after careful cleaning. Some natural-bristle shedding can occur.
Dance World Verdict
The brush for the “nearly finished” stage. A purposeful addition to a styling kit for anyone who loves a smooth crown, tidy hairline and polished ponytail or ballet bun.
