International shoe sizes can vary slightly between brands and models. Use your measured foot length as the best starting point, then compare it with the individual brand's size recommendation. Where a product page gives model-specific sizing advice, that guidance should always take priority over a general conversion chart.

Never choose a dance shoe from conversion alone. Ballet, jazz, ballroom and character shoes can fit very differently depending on the last, upper material, width and intended level of compression. Use this table to understand international equivalents, then follow the fit advice for the individual shoe.
How to Measure Your Feet for Dance Shoes
Measure both feet while standing, preferably later in the day. Use the longer foot when comparing your measurement with a shoe size chart.
Foot Length
Key MeasurementStand with your heel lightly against a wall and place your foot flat on a sheet of paper. Mark the end of your longest toe and measure the distance from the wall to the mark.
Measure in centimetres for the most accurate comparison with international shoe charts.
Measure Both Feet
Repeat the measurement on the other foot. It is very common for one foot to be slightly longer than the other, so always use the larger measurement when choosing your starting size.
Foot Width
Measure across or around the widest part of the forefoot. Width can be just as important as length in dance shoes, particularly in fitted ballet, jazz and ballroom styles.
Measure While Standing
Take measurements with your full weight on your feet. Standing allows the foot to spread naturally and gives a more realistic measurement than measuring while sitting.
Check the Dance Fit
A correctly fitted dance shoe should feel secure without restricting the toes or causing pressure. Different dance disciplines require different amounts of growing room, compression and heel security, so always follow the model-specific Dance World Fit Advice.
This chart is designed as an international reference rather than a replacement for individual brand sizing. Bloch, Capezio, So Danca, IDS, PortDance, Diamant and other dance footwear brands may use their own conversion systems or fit differently from standard street shoes. Always use the individual product's Dance World Fit Advice where available.
Girls Natasha White Ballroom & Latin Competition Shoes • Lightweight Feel - White / 1.5 UK is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Best For: Girls Ballroom & Latin • Juvenile Competition • First Competition Shoes • Medal Tests • Narrower & Wider Feet • Developing Dancers
Description
Description
A beautifully practical competition shoe for younger dancers, the IDS Girls Natasha combines a clean white Ballroom look with clever adjustability. Its low Cuban heel, supportive forefoot and lightweight cushioned construction make it particularly well suited to developing dancers moving through classes, medal work and Juvenile competition.
IDS Girls Natasha Personality
Polished • Adaptable • Competition-Ready • Refined
Natasha feels a little more refined and open than a traditional multi-strap girls' Ballroom shoe. The clean white upper and low Cuban heel keep the look unmistakably Juvenile, while the asymmetric forefoot and delicate crossing straps give it a lovely competition finish.
It's pretty without becoming overly decorative, exactly the sort of shoe that lets the dancer, dress and movement remain the focus.
IDS Girls Natasha Ballroom & Latin Competition Shoes – Design & Performance
The standout feature of Natasha is its adjustable front buckle. Rather than relying entirely on a fixed forefoot shape, the front can be adjusted to accommodate narrower or wider feet, making this an especially useful style for young dancers whose foot shape doesn't always suit a standard strappy shoe.
The longer fastening strap adds another level of security around the foot, while the lightweight construction keeps Natasha flexible enough for developing Ballroom and Latin technique.
Underfoot, gel padding provides lightweight cushioning through lessons, rehearsals and competition days. A traditional suede dance sole allows controlled movement across the floor, while the low 1.25" Cuban heel introduces young dancers to heeled Ballroom footwear without pushing them prematurely into an adult-style heel.
IDS Girls Natasha Technical Profile
The Dance World Technical Profile provides a quick overview of each Ballroom and Latin shoe's construction, fit and intended use, making it easier to compare different styles at a glance.

Dance World Notes
Competition polish without an adult heel.
Natasha gives young dancers the refined appearance of a dedicated Ballroom and Latin competition shoe while retaining the stability of a low 1.25" Cuban heel.
Made for younger dancers.
This isn't simply an adult dance shoe made smaller. IDS specifically builds Natasha to combine support with the flexibility required by developing dancers.
Flavia or Natasha?
Both are excellent Juvenile options. Choose Flavia when you prefer the security and feel of a multi-strap forefoot; look towards Natasha when adjustable forefoot fit is particularly important.
Dance World Fit Advice
Overall Fit
Girls Natasha fits true to size for most dancers. Start from the dancer's measured foot rather than allowing generous growing room.
Adjustable Forefoot
The front buckle can be adjusted to accommodate narrower or wider feet, making Natasha particularly useful when standard fixed straps don't sit quite correctly.
Competition Fit
The heel should remain secure and the foot should not slide significantly inside the shoe. Competition footwear needs enough security for controlled turns, direction changes and footwork.
Growing Dancers
A small amount of sensible allowance may be appropriate, but avoid buying significantly oversized Ballroom shoes simply to extend wear.
Dance World sizing recommendations are intended as a starting point. Children's dance shoe fit varies with foot width, shape and stage of growth, and competition footwear should remain secure during movement.
