International shoe sizes can vary slightly between brands and models. Use your measured foot length as the best starting point, then compare it with the individual brand's size recommendation. Where a product page gives model-specific sizing advice, that guidance should always take priority over a general conversion chart.

Never choose a dance shoe from conversion alone. Ballet, jazz, ballroom and character shoes can fit very differently depending on the last, upper material, width and intended level of compression. Use this table to understand international equivalents, then follow the fit advice for the individual shoe.
How to Measure Your Feet for Dance Shoes
Measure both feet while standing, preferably later in the day. Use the longer foot when comparing your measurement with a shoe size chart.
Foot Length
Key MeasurementStand with your heel lightly against a wall and place your foot flat on a sheet of paper. Mark the end of your longest toe and measure the distance from the wall to the mark.
Measure in centimetres for the most accurate comparison with international shoe charts.
Measure Both Feet
Repeat the measurement on the other foot. It is very common for one foot to be slightly longer than the other, so always use the larger measurement when choosing your starting size.
Foot Width
Measure across or around the widest part of the forefoot. Width can be just as important as length in dance shoes, particularly in fitted ballet, jazz and ballroom styles.
Measure While Standing
Take measurements with your full weight on your feet. Standing allows the foot to spread naturally and gives a more realistic measurement than measuring while sitting.
Check the Dance Fit
A correctly fitted dance shoe should feel secure without restricting the toes or causing pressure. Different dance disciplines require different amounts of growing room, compression and heel security, so always follow the model-specific Dance World Fit Advice.
This chart is designed as an international reference rather than a replacement for individual brand sizing. Bloch, Capezio, So Danca, IDS, PortDance, Diamant and other dance footwear brands may use their own conversion systems or fit differently from standard street shoes. Always use the individual product's Dance World Fit Advice where available.

Best For: Adult Beginners • Recreational Tap • Recitals • Musical Theatre • Stage Performances • Sparkle-Loving Dancers
Description
Description
Some tap shoes are made to blend into the uniform. The Roch Valley LHPH Silver Hologram Tap Shoes are made for moments when a little more sparkle is exactly the point. Light-catching, playful and easy to wear, they bring instant personality to beginner classes, recital routines and musical-theatre performances.
Behind the shimmer is a practical low-heel tap shoe with a secure front tie and comfortable padded interior. It is a fun choice for adult beginners and recreational dancers who want clear rhythms with a look that refuses to disappear under the stage lights.
Roch Valley LHPH Hologram Tap Shoes – Personality
Silver Hologram • Light-Catching Sparkle • Classic Front Tie • Show-Ready Style
The Spotlight Starter
Bright, playful and impossible to overlook, the LHPH turns the traditional low-heel tap silhouette into something made for the stage. Its silver hologram surface shifts through tiny flashes of rainbow colour as it catches the light, while matching silver binding and laces keep the overall finish polished and coordinated.
Roch Valley LHPH Tap Shoes – Design & Performance
The light-catching upper is made from glitter-coated vegan synthetic PU, shaped into a classic open-instep tap shoe with a two-eyelet front tie. The laces allow simple adjustment across the instep, while the soft textile lining and cushioned foam insole create a comfortable starting feel with minimal breaking in.
Underfoot, the full synthetic sole provides a steady and supportive base for developing rhythm, weight placement and toe-to-heel control. The low heel keeps the dancer comfortably connected to the floor, making the LHPH approachable for beginner classes, rehearsals and recreational tap.
Fitted metal toe and heel taps provide a bright, clearly audible response. The sound is lighter than the deeper resonance of a built-up professional tap shoe, but well suited to learning combinations, recital routines and performances where appearance is part of the fun.

Dance World Notes
A Little More Sparkle in Every Rhythm
Why It Works: The LHPH gives beginners the steady feel of a traditional full-sole tap shoe while adding a memorable finish that makes recitals and stage routines feel instantly more special.
Sound Character: Expect a bright, light and clearly audible tap response. It does not have the heavier tonal depth of a professional built-up leather shoe, but it provides an accessible sound for learning and performing early combinations.
Training Value: Although it looks like a performance shoe, its supportive full sole, low heel and padded interior make it equally suitable for regular beginner and recreational classes.
Dance World Tip: Protect the hologram finish from rubbing by storing the shoes separately or inside a soft shoe bag. When checking the fit, test them only on clean carpet - taps showing scratches or floor wear cannot be accepted for return.
