FASHION combines panels of soft black nubuck with breathable mesh and tonal sequins, giving the upper a supple feel while allowing more airflow than a completely closed practice shoe. The lace-up front lets you adjust the shoe securely through the instep, which is particularly useful when you're working through quick changes of direction and detailed footwork.

Unlike some highly articulated practice trainers, this particular FASHION model uses a full suede dance sole. That gives it a more continuous feeling beneath the foot while still providing the controlled glide dancers expect from suede. Turns and pivots remain smooth, but the shoe retains a reassuringly grounded character.

A removable cushioned insole softens the feel underfoot, while lightweight EVA cushioning through the low heel helps absorb impact during longer sessions. There is absolutely no technical reason your hardworking shoes need to be boring. We like how PortDance has kept the sequins tonal and tucked them beneath black mesh - they appear as you move rather than shouting from across the studio.

If you prefer feeling a continuous surface beneath the foot rather than the highly articulated sensation of a split-sole trainer, FASHION is particularly interesting. It still moves easily, but there's a little more continuity and connection under the arch.
