Demi Pointe shoes do not require a pointe shoe fitting. As the S0135 comes in several widths, visiting store can make selecting the most comfortable width easier. For reorders, follow the shank size shown in brackets beside the UK size - for example, UK 4 is Shank 3.

Materials & Construction

Satin upper, cotton lining, suede sock and resistant leather outsole. The shoe has a full-length sole and a curved, generous box based on BLOCH’s Sylphide last.

Care information

Allow Demi Pointe shoes to dry fully between wears and avoid storing them in an airtight bag. Keep them away from direct heat and sunlight. Replace when the leather sole or upper becomes excessively worn.

Before Choosing Your Size

Take dancewear measurements over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. For shoes, measure both feet while standing and use the longer measurement as your general starting point.

Bust / Chest Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape straight and level.

Waist Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso.

Hips Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat, keeping the tape level.

Girth Start at one shoulder, measure down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back to the same shoulder in one continuous loop.

Foot Length Measure from heel to longest toe while standing. Measure both feet and use the longer measurement as your general starting point.

Description

BLOCH Demi Pointe S0135 Shoes are transitional training shoes designed to help dancers build the foot and ankle strength needed in preparation for pointe work. They look and feel closer to a pointe shoe than a ballet flat, but are not designed to support the dancer en pointe.

Made on the Sylphide last, the S0135 combines a curved, generously shaped box with a resistant leather outsole. This gives the foot something purposeful to work against when pointing, without functioning as a pointe shoe.

BLOCH Demi Pointe S0135 Shoes – Design & Performance

The S0135 Demi Pointe is designed to create resistance through the foot when pointing. Its leather outsole encourages the foot to work harder, while the curved box has the appearance of a full pointe-shoe box but is intentionally softer and not intended for standing en pointe.

The generous internal space allows the foot to sit deeply inside the shoe. Available in four widths, it offers a more specialised pre-pointe fit than a standard ballet flat while remaining a training shoe rather than a pointe shoe.

BLOCH Demi Pointe S0135 Training Construction

The resistance of the leather outsole is central to the S0135’s training purpose, helping the dancer work through the foot and ankle during teacher-led preparation exercises. The shoe must not be used for pointe work or for standing en pointe.
