The 148 doesn't expect your foot to squeeze itself into a delicate Latin sandal. It does exactly the opposite. Soft leather, a genuinely generous forefoot and a low, stable heel give your foot room to settle comfortably into the shoe, while the clean black silhouette keeps everything looking unmistakably Ballroom. For dancers who have spent years being told that dance shoes are simply supposed to feel tight, this one can be a very welcome surprise.

Diamant 148 Wide Fit Ballroom Shoes - Design & Performance

The defining feature of the Diamant 148 is its H Extra Wide Comfort Fit. This is considerably more generous than Diamant's standard F fitting and is specifically designed to provide additional space across the forefoot. For dancers with broad feet, prominent joints or simply a preference for less compression around the toes, that extra room can completely change how enjoyable a Ballroom shoe feels.

The closed-toe nappa leather upper adds to that feeling of security. Rather than dividing the forefoot between narrow straps, the smooth leather vamp surrounds it in one soft, supportive section. Premium nappa leather gradually softens and adapts around the foot with wear, making the 148 feel increasingly personal without losing its supportive character.

Underfoot, Diamant adds an integrated Comfort Footbed to provide additional cushioning throughout longer classes and social sessions. The breathable antibacterial Italian microfibre lining helps manage moisture inside the more enclosed construction, keeping comfort at the centre of the design.

The 4.2cm Spanish Comfort heel continues the same philosophy. Low and broad-based, it keeps the dancer relatively close to the floor and provides a reassuring platform for balance, weight transfer and travelling movement. It is particularly useful for dancers who don't feel comfortable or confident on narrower, higher Ballroom heels.

An adjustable crossover strap wraps around the foot and heel to help keep the shoe securely positioned, finished with Diamant's quick-release push-button fastening. Underneath, a professional suede dance sole provides the familiar balance of glide and controlled grip expected on a proper indoor dance floor.
