This style has a narrower, firmer upper than our soft leather and stretch-canvas jazz shoes. It is also available in whole sizes only.

The laces allow some adjustment through the instep, but cannot make a genuinely narrow shoe substantially wider. Children with particularly broad feet may therefore prefer a different jazz-shoe shape.

Always start from the child's measured foot, not their school shoe or trainer size, and check that the heel remains securely held.

Care information

Gently wipe the glitter upper with a soft, slightly damp cloth when required.

Do not soak or machine wash. Allow the shoes to air dry naturally away from direct heat and sunlight, and avoid rubbing the glitter against rough surfaces that may damage the finish.

How to Measure Your Feet for Dance Shoes

Measure both feet while standing, preferably later in the day. Use the longer foot when comparing your measurement with a shoe size chart.

Foot Length

Key Measurement

Stand with your heel lightly against a wall and place your foot flat on a sheet of paper. Mark the end of your longest toe and measure the distance from the wall to the mark.

Measure in centimetres for the most accurate comparison with international shoe charts.

Measure Both Feet

Repeat the measurement on the other foot. It is very common for one foot to be slightly longer than the other, so always use the larger measurement when choosing your starting size.

Foot Width

Measure across or around the widest part of the forefoot. Width can be just as important as length in dance shoes, particularly in fitted ballet, jazz and ballroom styles.

Measure While Standing

Take measurements with your full weight on your feet. Standing allows the foot to spread naturally and gives a more realistic measurement than measuring while sitting.

Check the Dance Fit

A correctly fitted dance shoe should feel secure without restricting the toes or causing pressure. Different dance disciplines require different amounts of growing room, compression and heel security, so always follow the model-specific Dance World Fit Advice.

This chart is designed as an international reference rather than a replacement for individual brand sizing. Bloch, Capezio, So Danca, IDS, PortDance, Diamant and other dance footwear brands may use their own conversion systems or fit differently from standard street shoes. Always use the individual product's Dance World Fit Advice where available.

The En Huit Children's Silver Glitter Jazz Shoes are made for young dancers who believe a little sparkle makes everything more fun. Covered in shimmering holographic silver, they bring instant stage presence to dance classes, shows, musical theatre and recital costumes.

But underneath all that glitter is a proper traditional dance shoe. A structured full rubber sole provides strong floor grip, while adjustable laces help keep growing feet securely held as young dancers move.

Made for Little Performers Who Love to Sparkle

Some children want their jazz shoes to disappear into the costume. Others want silver glitter – and we completely understand.

The sparkling synthetic upper catches the light beautifully on stage, while the lace-up front allows the shoe to be adjusted comfortably across the instep. Inside, a soft lining helps make the firmer construction more comfortable for classes, rehearsals and performances.

Underneath is a traditional full rubber sole. Unlike a split-sole jazz shoe, the rubber continues beneath the whole foot, creating a more structured and grounded feeling with excellent traction against the dance floor.

Are Glitter Jazz Shoes Proper Dance Shoes?

Yes – these are much more than costume shoes. The glitter changes the appearance, but underneath they have the construction of a traditional jazz shoe.

A full rubber sole provides traction beneath the entire foot, the low heel creates a grounded base and the lace-up front helps keep the shoe securely adjusted while your child dances.

They are firmer and less flexible than many modern split-sole jazz shoes, so we particularly like them for young dancers, dance-school shows and stage performances where sparkle and dependable grip matter more than achieving an ultra-flexible professional foot line.

How Should Children's En Huit Glitter Jazz Shoes Fit?

This style has a narrower, firmer fit and runs small. Unlike our softer stretch jazz shoes, the structured glitter upper has much less give around the foot.

Always measure your child's feet rather than using their current school shoe or trainer size. Everyday footwear may already include growing room and can give you the wrong starting point.

Quick fit check: Lace both shoes comfortably and ask your child to stand, walk and point. Their toes should be able to lie naturally without feeling compressed, while the heel should remain securely held without slipping away from the foot.
