Bodile women's sizing uses overlapping size ranges from XXS/XS through L/XL. For the most reliable fit, compare your bust, waist, hip and torso-length measurements rather than converting directly from everyday clothing size. For leotards, torso length is particularly useful when deciding between two overlapping sizes.

Bodile's size ranges intentionally overlap. If your bust, waist or hips comfortably fit two sizes, use torso length as an important deciding measurement for leotards. A longer torso may feel more comfortable in the larger overlapping size, while a shorter torso may suit the smaller option.
How to Measure for Bodile Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting dancewear using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.
Torso Length
Key Leotard MeasurementFollow Bodile's measuring diagram and measure the length of the torso vertically down the body. Keep the tape straight and close to the body without pulling it tight.
Bodile calls this measurement Torso Length. It should not be substituted with the full shoulder-through-crotch girth loop commonly used by some other dancewear brands.
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape straight and level around the body without compressing it.
Waist
Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not included in Bodile's women's size table, but it can be useful when considering overall body proportions alongside torso length.
Bodile women's sizes are intentionally grouped into overlapping ranges: XXS/XS, XS/S, S/M, M/L and L/XL. This gives dancers flexibility when choosing their preferred fit. Use all four published body measurements together, with torso length particularly useful for fitted leotards. Where two sizes overlap, consider both body length and how close you prefer your dancewear to feel.

The Bodile Valentina Prussian Blue long sleeve ballet leotard combines a square neckline, velvet corset-style panelling and sheer mesh sleeves with a striking open back. Sculpting ECOSCULPT® fabric forms the main body, while gold details bring a warm finishing touch to the deep blue palette.
Bodile Valentina Prussian Blue Ballet Leotard – Design & Performance
Velvet corset-style panels shape the front of Valentina, following curved seams from the square neckline towards a tapered lower point. The velvet’s changing sheen gives the blue depth, while the smooth surrounding fabric keeps the panel lines clearly defined.
Full-length SUPRABLIME® mesh sleeves introduce a sheer, super-soft and breathable layer across the shoulders and arms. At the back, a large opening is framed by signature BODILE elastic finishing, with a gold butterfly clasp fastening at the nape. The open back balances the more covered sleeve line, and small gold branding completes the design.
The main body uses ECOSCULPT®, an Italian-made fabric containing 78% ECONYL® regenerated nylon and 22% Lycra. Its two-way stretch, supportive compression and strong shape retention create a close, sculpting feel. Pilling resistance and moisture management are further properties of the main fabric.
Valentina has a classic ballet leg line and a 100% cotton gusset. The velvet front, sheer sleeves and open back each provide a different level of visual coverage.
