Bodile women's sizing uses overlapping size ranges from XXS/XS through L/XL. For the most reliable fit, compare your bust, waist, hip and torso-length measurements rather than converting directly from everyday clothing size. For leotards, torso length is particularly useful when deciding between two overlapping sizes.

Bodile's size ranges intentionally overlap. If your bust, waist or hips comfortably fit two sizes, use torso length as an important deciding measurement for leotards. A longer torso may feel more comfortable in the larger overlapping size, while a shorter torso may suit the smaller option.
How to Measure for Bodile Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting dancewear using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.
Torso Length
Key Leotard MeasurementFollow Bodile's measuring diagram and measure the length of the torso vertically down the body. Keep the tape straight and close to the body without pulling it tight.
Bodile calls this measurement Torso Length. It should not be substituted with the full shoulder-through-crotch girth loop commonly used by some other dancewear brands.
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape straight and level around the body without compressing it.
Waist
Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not included in Bodile's women's size table, but it can be useful when considering overall body proportions alongside torso length.
Bodile women's sizes are intentionally grouped into overlapping ranges: XXS/XS, XS/S, S/M, M/L and L/XL. This gives dancers flexibility when choosing their preferred fit. Use all four published body measurements together, with torso length particularly useful for fitted leotards. Where two sizes overlap, consider both body length and how close you prefer your dancewear to feel.

The Bodile Ophelia Leopard ballet leotard pairs a leopard-print velvet bodice with a smooth Obsidian body, a pinched neckline and black waist ribbon. Adjustable camisole straps personalise the upper fit, while the lightweight, super-soft unlined body brings comfort to this expressive studio look.
Bodile Ophelia Leopard Ballet Leotard – Design & Performance
Leopard-print velvet covers the bodice at the front and upper back, bringing pattern and a softly textured finish to Ophelia’s camisole silhouette. The print combines dark markings with a muted neutral ground, framed by plain black straps, trim and lower body.
A gathered centre front creates the pinched bust line, with a band of sheer black mesh following the neckline above it. Adjustable straps let you refine the shoulder length, while the gently curved back leaves the shoulders uncovered. A black waist ribbon draws a clean boundary between the patterned bodice and smooth main fabric.
The Obsidian body uses LEOPREME®, Bodile’s Italian-made fabric containing 80% nylon and 20% Lycra. Its soft-touch finish, breathable stretch and shape retention provide supportive hold through the torso. The classic ballet leg line keeps the lower silhouette simple beneath the print.
The body is unlined for lightweight, super-soft comfort, with a 100% cotton gusset. Coverage through the Obsidian body is excellent, while the mesh neckline trim remains intentionally sheer. This gives the garment a light feel without adding a full lining layer.
