With their classic closed-toe silhouette and all-over shimmer, they are an easy choice for dancers who enjoy traditional Ballroom styling but don't want their shoes to disappear into the background.

Silver is the brightest of the three, catching the light beautifully and giving the traditional court-shoe silhouette a crisp, festive finish. It works particularly well when the shoe is intended to become part of the outfit rather than simply blend in.
Gold feels warmer and softer. The lace-like sparkle texture gives it an almost vintage evening-shoe character, making it especially pretty with champagne, neutral and warmer-toned dancewear.
Black tones the sparkle down considerably. It keeps the texture and little flashes of light while remaining much easier to pair with regular social-dance wardrobes, the most understated choice of the three.
So Danca BL166 Ballroom Shoes – Design & Performance
BL166 uses a traditional closed-toe court construction, giving the forefoot considerably more coverage than an open Ballroom or Latin sandal. The shaped topline follows the foot cleanly, while the sparkle textile continues across the entire upper for a decorative finish without adding extra trims or embellishment.
A slim adjustable instep strap crosses the foot and fastens with Só Dança's easy-buckle system, helping keep the heel securely connected to the shoe during travelling steps and turns.
Underfoot, the 2.5" wide-base heel is one of BL166's most useful features. It gives the shoe an elegant amount of lift while providing a more reassuring platform than a narrow heel - particularly useful for social dancers who want height without moving into a more demanding Latin-style heel.
The cushioned interior softens the feel underfoot, while the full suede dance sole provides the controlled glide expected from a traditional indoor Ballroom shoe.

The sparkle is really the point of BL166.
Underneath the decorative upper is a very traditional closed Ballroom shoe. That makes it an easy option for someone who wants a familiar, uncomplicated shape but doesn't want a completely plain shoe.
The wider heel base makes a difference.
At 2.5", BL166 still gives a nicely raised dance position, but the broader base feels less demanding than a narrow heel of the same height.

Overall Fit
BL166 has a standard Ballroom fit and generally runs true to size. We recommend beginning with your regular UK shoe size.
Regular & Narrow Feet
Your usual size is the best starting point. The closed upper should sit neatly around the forefoot without excessive movement, while the adjustable strap secures the shoe across the instep.
Wider Forefeet
Because BL166 is closed across the toes, dancers needing additional forefoot space may prefer approximately half a size up rather than forcing a very snug fit.
BL166 Fit Note
Check both the toe area and heel before deciding on fit. The forefoot should feel comfortably contained rather than compressed, while the heel should remain connected to the shoe during walking and dance movement.
