1. Snug Fit: The shoes should hug your feet closely to provide support and stability while allowing you to feel the floor beneath your feet. This close fit helps in achieving precise movements and better sound quality from the taps.

2. No Excessive Tightness: While the fit should be snug, it should not cause discomfort or restrict blood circulation. Make sure there is enough room to wiggle your toes slightly.

3. Secure Closure: The buckle closure should be fastened securely to prevent the shoes from slipping off during your performance. However, it should not be so tight that it digs into your skin.

4. Heel Placement: The 2” heel should align with your heel's natural position, providing adequate support without causing your foot to slide forward. Ensure your heel sits comfortably within the heel cup.

NOTE: Note: When trying on and testing out our tap shoes we highly recommend trying them on carpet to prevent scratching the taps. Shoes returned with scratched taps will not be accepted.
