For Capezio leotards, girth is the key measurement when body measurements suggest different sizes. A dancer may have a smaller chest or waist but still need the next size because of torso length. For children's dancewear, use the US clothing size as a reference only and prioritise actual measurements.

How to Measure for Capezio Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.
Girth
Key MeasurementStart at the high point of one shoulder. Bring the tape down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back up to the same shoulder in one complete loop.
Keep the tape comfortably close without pulling it tight. For Capezio leotards, girth is especially useful when choosing between two sizes.
Chest / Bust
Measure around the widest part of the chest or bust, keeping the tape straight and level around the body without compressing it.
Waist
Measure around the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.
Hips
Measure around the widest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not part of Capezio's core bodywear chart, but it is useful when considering overall proportions and torso length.
Capezio bodywear is intended to sit close to the body while allowing unrestricted movement. For fitted leotards, use girth alongside bust, waist and hips rather than relying on a standard clothing size. Children's US size references are useful as a starting point only. Capezio Cristóbal Tank Ballet Leotard – Design & Performance
The floral burnout bodice continues into the tank straps and around a deep U-back. At the front, corset-inspired seams frame the centre panel and lead into a V-shaped waistline, where the patterned fabric meets the smooth lower section. Bound edges finish the neckline and armholes, while a ballet leg line keeps the cut familiar.
The main body combines 80% polyester and 20% elastane, with a burnout fabric of 59% polyester, 30% nylon and 11% elastane. Full front lining sits beneath the front of the leotard; the floral panels around the open back remain sheer. Eligible items can be returned for a refund within 30 days of receipt for EU orders, or 40 days for UK and other non-EU orders. Items must be in their original, resaleable condition, with tags and packaging. Product exclusions apply.
