Between Sizes? If you are between sizes or prefer a little more room through the forefoot, consider selecting the next half size up.

Break-In: The premium Italian leather gradually softens and adapts naturally to the shape of your foot while maintaining excellent support.

Care information

Brush the suede sole regularly with a dance-shoe brush to maintain its nap and floor response. Clean smooth leather gently with a suitable black leather product; use a suede-appropriate brush on the pinstripe sections. Allow shoes to air naturally after dancing and keep the suede sole for indoor dance floors only.

Description

The Diamant 077 takes the traditional men's Ballroom shoe and gives it just enough personality. Handmade in Germany, its classic cap-toe Oxford silhouette combines smooth Italian black leather with laser-cut pinstripe suede for a subtle tonal finish that changes beautifully under the light.

Underneath the sharper styling is a serious Ballroom construction: secure closed lacing, breathable microfibre lining, a traditional suede dance sole and a low shock-absorbing heel designed for controlled, confident movement across the floor.

Black on black doesn't have to mean plain. The combination of smooth leather and finely striped suede gives 077 a subtle change in texture rather than an obvious contrast. From a distance it remains beautifully formal; up close, and particularly under dance-floor lighting – the pinstripe detailing gives it considerably more character.

Diamant 077 Men's Ballroom Dance Shoes – Design & Performance

The 077 is built in a traditional cap-toe Oxford style, with closed 5-hole lacing creating a neat, close-fitting appearance across the instep. Its G regular-width fitting gives the shoe a more tailored profile than Diamant's wider men's options.

The upper combines soft Italian nappa leather around the toe, heel and lacing area with black suede featuring Diamant's distinctive laser pinstripe design. Beyond the visual effect, the soft materials help the upper feel refined rather than rigid.

Inside, breathable Italian microfibre lining helps absorb moisture during dancing, while the low 2cm shock-absorbing heel provides a stable base for Ballroom movement.

A traditional suede dance sole completes the construction, providing the controlled combination of glide and traction needed for turns, travelling steps and smooth movement across indoor dance floors.

This is how you do men's sparkle.
There are no crystals, glitter or obvious metallic details. Instead, Diamant lets the laser pinstripe texture catch the light against smooth black leather. The result is still unmistakably a traditional men's Ballroom shoe - just a much more interesting one.

Overall Fit
Diamant 077 should feel comfortably close and secure around the foot, with the heel held firmly and no unnecessary movement inside the shoe.

Width
This model is made in Diamant's G – Regular fitting. It is better suited to regular-width feet than the extra-wide Diamant 085 and 089 styles.

Oxford Lacing
The closed 5-hole Oxford construction creates a neat, tailored fit over the instep. Dancers with particularly high insteps may prefer the greater opening and adjustment of a Derby-style shoe.

Dance World Starting Point
077 generally fits true to size. Start with your usual UK Ballroom dance-shoe size and assess the width and instep fit before considering a different length.
