International shoe sizes can vary slightly between brands and models. Use your measured foot length as the best starting point, then compare it with the individual brand's size recommendation. Where a product page gives model-specific sizing advice, that guidance should always take priority over a general conversion chart.

Never choose a dance shoe from conversion alone. Ballet, jazz, ballroom and character shoes can fit very differently depending on the last, upper material, width and intended level of compression. Use this table to understand international equivalents, then follow the fit advice for the individual shoe.
How to Measure Your Feet for Dance Shoes
Measure both feet while standing, preferably later in the day. Use the longer foot when comparing your measurement with a shoe size chart.
Foot Length
Key MeasurementStand with your heel lightly against a wall and place your foot flat on a sheet of paper. Mark the end of your longest toe and measure the distance from the wall to the mark.
Measure in centimetres for the most accurate comparison with international shoe charts.
Measure Both Feet
Repeat the measurement on the other foot. It is very common for one foot to be slightly longer than the other, so always use the larger measurement when choosing your starting size.
Foot Width
Measure across or around the widest part of the forefoot. Width can be just as important as length in dance shoes, particularly in fitted ballet, jazz and ballroom styles.
Measure While Standing
Take measurements with your full weight on your feet. Standing allows the foot to spread naturally and gives a more realistic measurement than measuring while sitting.
Check the Dance Fit
A correctly fitted dance shoe should feel secure without restricting the toes or causing pressure. Different dance disciplines require different amounts of growing room, compression and heel security, so always follow the model-specific Dance World Fit Advice.
This chart is designed as an international reference rather than a replacement for individual brand sizing. Bloch, Capezio, So Danca, IDS, PortDance, Diamant and other dance footwear brands may use their own conversion systems or fit differently from standard street shoes. Always use the individual product's Dance World Fit Advice where available.

Best For Dance School • Jazz Class • Musical Theatre • Shows & Recitals • Stage Costumes • Young Performers
Description
Description
The En Huit Children's Silver Glitter Jazz Shoes are made for young dancers who believe a little sparkle makes everything more fun. Covered in shimmering holographic silver, they bring instant stage presence to dance classes, shows, musical theatre and recital costumes.
But underneath all that glitter is a proper traditional dance shoe. A structured full rubber sole provides strong floor grip, while adjustable laces help keep growing feet securely held as young dancers move.
Made for Little Performers Who Love to Sparkle
Some children want their jazz shoes to disappear into the costume. Others want silver glitter – and we completely understand.
The sparkling synthetic upper catches the light beautifully on stage, while the lace-up front allows the shoe to be adjusted comfortably across the instep. Inside, a soft lining helps make the firmer construction more comfortable for classes, rehearsals and performances.
Underneath is a traditional full rubber sole. Unlike a split-sole jazz shoe, the rubber continues beneath the whole foot, creating a more structured and grounded feeling with excellent traction against the dance floor.
These are especially at home in dance-school shows, musical theatre, recital numbers and costumes where the footwear is meant to become part of the performance. If your child's teacher has specified a particular jazz-shoe style or colour, always check their requirements before ordering.
Dance World Tip
These really do run small. The glitter upper is narrower and more structured than a soft leather or stretch-canvas jazz shoe, so don't expect it to stretch dramatically around the foot.
Dance World Size Guide is intended as a helpful starting point. Every child's feet are unique, so fit may vary depending on foot shape, width and individual proportions.
Don't add extra growing room on top of the recommended size adjustment. The 1-size increase compensates for this model's small, narrow fit – it isn't an invitation to go another size larger. A jazz shoe should still hold your child's heel securely and move with the foot.
