Care information

Allow pointe shoes to dry fully between wears. Avoid storing them in an airtight bag or exposing them to heat or direct sunlight. Check the box, platform, shank and satin regularly, and replace the shoes when they no longer provide safe support.

Before Choosing Your Size

Take dancewear measurements over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. For shoes, measure both feet while standing and use the longer measurement as your general starting point.

Bust / Chest Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape straight and level.

Waist Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso.

Hips Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat, keeping the tape level.

Girth Start at one shoulder, measure down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back to the same shoulder in one continuous loop.

Foot Length Measure from heel to longest toe while standing. Measure both feet and use the longer measurement as your general starting point.

Description

BLOCH Serenade S0131 Pointe Shoes are designed around a wide oblong platform, a deep U-shaped vamp and a narrow heel profile. Its traditional construction brings the foot, shank and platform together in a stable, support-led pointe-shoe shape.

A full-length shank provides support beneath the metatarsal area, while the platform’s lower box height and oblong shape create the shoe’s distinctive lateral-support profile en pointe.

BLOCH Serenade S0131 Pointe Shoes – Design & Performance

Serenade uses a full-length sole and flexible shank/insole construction that supports beneath the metatarsal area. This is designed to help hold the foot back in the shoe, while the wide oblong platform provides a stable surface when en pointe.

The box has less height than a more elevated profile, while the deep U-shaped vamp and medium, straight sides retain a traditional pointe-shoe line. At the heel, Serenade has a narrow fit designed to hug the heel and help reduce creasing.

Serenade’s full-length shank is designed to support beneath the metatarsal area, complementing the lower-profile box and wide oblong platform. It is finished with BLOCH’s standard A-Paste, selected for resilience in changing heat and humidity conditions, plus noise reduction beneath the pleats.

Pointe Shoe Fitting & Reordering Tip: Pointe shoes must be selected in person with a qualified fitter and your teacher’s guidance. Ribbons and elastics are sold separately. For Serenade reorders, use the shank size shown in brackets beside the UK size - for example, UK 4 is Shank 3.
