Size Guide: Adult & Children Mirella Garments

Mirella Size & Fit Advice

Mirella by BLOCH uses BLOCH dance-apparel sizing for its ladies' and girls' collections. For the most reliable fit, use actual body measurements rather than everyday clothing size or age alone. For leotards and other one-piece dancewear, girth is especially important because it reflects the full length of the torso.

Dance World Tip

For Mirella leotards, use girth first when measurements point to different sizes. Torso length can make a significant difference to comfort even when the bust or waist sits comfortably within a smaller size. For children, treat age as a guide rather than the deciding measurement.

Dance World Measuring Guide

How to Measure for Mirella Dancewear

Measure over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.

1

Girth

Key Measurement

Using a flexible tape measure, start at the centre of one shoulder. Bring the tape down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back up to the same shoulder, creating one complete loop.

Keep the tape comfortably close to the body without pulling it tight. Girth is particularly important when choosing Mirella leotards and other one-piece dancewear.

2

Bust / Chest

Measure around the fullest part of the bust or chest, keeping the tape level around the body without compressing it.

3

Waist

Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.

4

Hips

Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.

5

Height

Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.

Height is not included in the core Mirella body-measurement table, but it can help when considering overall proportions and torso length.

Mirella Fit Guidance

Mirella is part of BLOCH and currently follows BLOCH's main dance-apparel measurements. Ladies' sizing runs from Petite to X-Large, while children's garments use age-based Child Petite through larger child sizes. Individual collections may not be produced in every size, and seasonal designs can feel slightly different depending on fabric, lining, mesh, lace and garment construction. Always use any product-specific Dance World fit advice alongside this guide.

Dance World Fit Note Mirella size charts and Dance World sizing recommendations are intended as a guide only. Fit can vary depending on body proportions, torso length, garment construction, fabric and stretch. For leotards, prioritise girth and overall body measurements rather than everyday clothing size or age alone.
