Capezio dancewear is designed for a close, movement-ready fit. Use actual body measurements rather than everyday clothing size wherever possible. For leotards and other one-piece garments, girth is particularly important because it reflects the full length of the torso.

Capezio Children's Garments Size Chart
Capezio children's sizes run from Toddler through Extra Large. Clothing size is a useful starting point, but body measurements provide a more reliable guide for fitted dancewear.
| Capezio Size | US Size | Chest | Waist | Hips | Girth |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Toddler T | 2–4 | 50.8–53.3 cm 20–21" | 48.3–50.8 cm 19–20" | 53.3–58.4 cm 21–23" | 88.9–96.5 cm 35–38" |
| Small S | 4–5 | 55.9–58.4 cm 22–23" | 50.8–53.3 cm 20–21" | 58.4–63.5 cm 23–25" | 99–106.7 cm 39–42" |

| Medium M | 7–8 | 66–71.1 cm 26–28" | 58.4–63.5 cm 23–25" | 68.6–73.7 cm 27–29" | 119.4–127 cm 47–50" |
| Large L | 10–12 | 73.7–78.7 cm 29–31" | 66–71.1 cm 26–28" | 76.2–81.3 cm 30–32" | 127–134.6 cm 50–53" |
| Extra Large XL | 14–16 | 83.8–88.9 cm 33–35" | 76.2–81.3 cm 30–32" | 86.4–91.4 cm 34–36" | 134.6–142.2 cm 53–56" |
For Capezio leotards, girth is the key measurement when body measurements suggest different sizes. A dancer may have a smaller chest or waist but still need the next size because of torso length. For children's dancewear, use the US clothing size as a reference only and prioritise actual measurements.
International Adult Shoe Size Conversion

Capezio produces ballet, jazz, tap, character, ballroom and studio footwear, and sizing can vary considerably between models. The shoe tables above are general international conversions rather than a model-specific Capezio fit chart. Always follow the Dance World Fit Advice on the individual shoe page, as that recommendation should take priority.
How to Measure for Capezio Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.

Girth
Key MeasurementStart at the high point of one shoulder. Bring the tape down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back up to the same shoulder in one complete loop.
Keep the tape comfortably close without pulling it tight. For Capezio leotards, girth is especially useful when choosing between two sizes.
Chest / Bust
Measure around the widest part of the chest or bust, keeping the tape straight and level around the body without compressing it.
Waist
Measure around the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.
Hips
Measure around the widest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not part of Capezio's core bodywear chart, but it is useful when considering overall proportions and torso length.
Capezio bodywear is intended to sit close to the body while allowing unrestricted movement. For fitted leotards, use girth alongside bust, waist and hips rather than relying on a standard clothing size. Children's US size references are useful as a starting point only. Where an individual Capezio garment has its own fit note, use that product-specific advice alongside this chart.

Description
Description
More technical than an everyday sock, the Capezio Lifeknit H072 Performance Sock is engineered around what a dancer's foot actually needs during movement: support, cushioning, breathability and reliable contact with the floor.
Strategically positioned compression reinforces the foot and arch, durable cushioning helps soften repeated impact, and moisture-wicking yarn keeps the fit comfortable through longer sessions. Slip-free traction beneath key contact areas completes a sock designed to work both as dance footwear and inside selected training shoes.
Capezio Lifeknit H072 Dance Socks – Personality & Colour
Targeted Compression • Arch Support • Cushioned Protection • Grip & Control
The technical all-rounder. Lifeknit feels noticeably more engineered than a conventional dance sock. Compression, cushioning, ventilation and traction are all built into different areas of the knit, giving it a supportive, training-focused personality without turning it into heavy footwear.
Skintone 01 keeps the technical construction visually quiet with a warm, natural finish.
Capezio Lifeknit H072 Performance Socks – Design & Performance
The clever part of Lifeknit is that the sock is not constructed uniformly from heel to toe. Capezio uses strategically positioned compression through the knit to reinforce and lift where the foot benefits from additional hold, creating a closer and more supportive relationship around the arch.
Durable cushioning adds another layer of performance. Rather than relying on a completely minimal barefoot construction, Lifeknit absorbs some of the repeated impact generated during training, making it particularly appealing for dancers spending longer periods on their feet.
Underneath, slip-free traction zones are positioned at the ball of the foot and other important contact points. These give the dancer additional grip and stability against the floor while retaining the flexibility and articulation of a knitted sock.
The technical yarn also manages the less glamorous side of a long rehearsal. Moisture-wicking ventilation and breathability help move moisture away from the foot, while the fabric is engineered to help limit odour and bacteria build-up.
And unlike highly specialised contemporary footwear, Lifeknit isn't restricted to one type of class. It can move between dance, conditioning and general training, or be worn inside suitable dance and athletic footwear when a dancer wants the same close compression and cushioning without working directly on the sock.
Capezio Lifeknit H072 Dance Socks – Technical Profile
Capezio Lifeknit H072 Contemporary Footwear DNA™
Higher score ≠ better. Contemporary Footwear DNA™ shows the balance and feel of the footwear, helping dancers compare different constructions and choose what suits their movement and floorwork.
Dance World Notes – Capezio Lifeknit H072 Performance Socks
The technical all-rounder.
What stands out is how many jobs Lifeknit manages to do without feeling like heavy footwear. There is support through the knit, cushioning underneath and traction where the foot meets the floor, but the construction still moves like a sock.
We particularly like it for mixed training days. This isn't a product that only makes sense for a turning combination. Contemporary class, conditioning, warm-up, gym work and rehearsal can all happen in the same pair, which is where Lifeknit earns its place in a dancer's bag.
Our overall impression: choose Lifeknit when comfort and support matter as much as barefoot freedom. It isn't the slipperiest or most minimal sock in the collection — deliberately so. Its strength is giving the foot a more cushioned, secure and supported platform for training.
