The POPFLEX Cadence Shorts fit true to size with a high waistband, close-fitting inner shorts and a loose mesh overlay.

Use your hip measurement as the first sizing reference because the inner shorts should sit smoothly across the seat and thighs. Check your waist next; the internal drawstring can secure the waistband when additional adjustment is needed.

Choose your usual POPFLEX size for the intended fitted inner short. If you fall between sizes, have fuller thighs or prefer a less sculpted feel, consider the larger size and adjust the waist using the drawstring.

The waistband sits high and covers the belly button on many wearers. It can also be folded down when a lower rise is preferred.

How to Measure for POPFLEX

Measure over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.

Bust

Tops & Bras

Measure around the fullest part of the bust, passing the tape underneath the arms and keeping it straight and level around the body.

Keep the tape comfortably close without compressing the bust.

Waist

Bottoms & Skorts

Measure around your natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.

Hips

Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around the body.

Height

Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.

POPFLEX does not use height in its core XS–XL body-size chart, but it can be useful when comparing garment lengths and longer silhouettes.

Inside Leg

Measure from the top of the inner thigh down the inside of the leg to the ankle while standing straight.

This is a useful secondary measurement for leggings, trousers and full-length styles, but it is not part of POPFLEX's standard XS–XL body-size chart.

POPFLEX Fit Guidance

POPFLEX uses the same core bust, waist and hip measurements across much of its clothing range, but the feel of the garment can vary significantly depending on the design. Sculpting leggings and fitted tops may feel closer to the body, while adjustable-waist skorts, trousers and relaxed layers can offer more flexibility. Use this chart as your starting point and always follow any product-specific Dance World fit advice where provided.

What POPFLEX Customers Notice

The inner shorts feel secure without being heavily compressive. Many customers find that they remain comfortably in place, although fuller thighs may benefit from the larger size when measurements fall between two options.

The mesh creates beautiful movement but behaves like a very light fabric. Depending on thigh and hip proportions, it may occasionally gather between the legs during walking or repeated movement and need a quick adjustment.

From Pliés to Power Walks

The tulip-shaped outer hem gives dancers room to move without the restriction of a conventional woven running short. It adds just enough visual flow for contemporary, commercial and dance-fitness classes while keeping the legs completely free.

The inner layer remains the main source of coverage, so expect the mesh to lift during jumps, kicks and windy outdoor days. Always check individual studio dress codes where a longer short is required.
