How to Measure for Intermezzo Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.
Girth
Key MeasurementUsing a flexible tape measure, start at the centre of one shoulder. Bring the tape down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back up to the same shoulder, creating one complete loop.
Keep the tape comfortably close to the body without pulling it tight. For Intermezzo leotards, girth is especially important when deciding between two sizes.
Chest
Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape straight and level around the body without compressing it.
Waist
Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not part of Intermezzo's women's garment size table, but it is useful when considering overall proportions and whether a dancer may need more length through the torso.
Intermezzo women's dancewear runs from XS through XL in the brand's main size guide, although individual styles may be offered in a smaller size range. Leotards should fit closely without restricting movement. Intermezzo Hope Lace Leotard – Design & Performance
A high Meryl neckline neatly frames the sheer floral lace across the shoulders and upper chest. The pattern continues over the covered bust, creating depth within the front panel before meeting the plain lower body. Three-quarter sleeves carry the same floral detail below the elbows, leaving the wrists and hands free.
The sheer lace upper back gives the design an elegant finish from every angle. A central back zip runs down from the collar, opening the neckline for dressing and fastening it securely for wear.
