Small Inserts, Big Help on Long Days
The Barefoot Scientist So Jelly Insole Grips add targeted cushioning beneath the ball of the foot without the bulk of a full-length insole. With two different pairs included, it is easy to choose the level of comfort that works best with heels, dance shoes or everyday footwear.
Barefoot Scientist So Jelly – Pressure Relief for the Ball of the Foot
Heeled shoes naturally shift more body weight towards the front of the foot. So Jelly creates a soft silicone layer beneath this pressure-prone area, helping absorb impact and distribute pressure more comfortably across the forefoot.
The set contains two different cushioning options. The thicker pair has a larger pillow and anti-slip massage dots, making it particularly useful inside high heels and shoes with a noticeable downward tilt.
The lighter pair offers slimmer, more flexible cushioning for flatter shoes and styles where there is less room inside the toe box. This allows dancers to choose support according to the shoe rather than trying to make one insert work everywhere.
A self-adhesive backing helps keep each insert securely positioned inside the shoe. The silicone is washable and reusable, making So Jelly a practical accessory for performance shoes, teaching footwear and favourite occasion heels.
A little extra cushioning can make long rehearsals, events and performance days easier on the feet.
Useful when shoes feel fine at the start but pressure builds as the day continues.
Choose the fuller cushion for heels or the lighter option when space is limited.
A discreet way to add comfort to shoes you love but do not enjoy standing in for hours.
When the Choreography Continues Past the First Number
Ballroom, Latin and character heels can feel beautifully balanced at first, but pressure beneath the forefoot often becomes more noticeable through repeated routines and long waits backstage. So Jelly cushions that concentrated contact point while leaving the heel and arch free, helping the shoe retain its familiar feel.
What Customers Like
Customers reviewing So Jelly through Barefoot Scientist awarded it five stars. The ease of placing the inserts and the improvement in how their feet felt were the clearest positive points.
How to Use So Jelly Insole Grips
Wipe the inside footbed of each shoe and allow it to dry completely. Before removing the protective backing, place an insert inside the shoe and test its position beneath or just behind the ball of the foot.
Once the most comfortable position has been found, remove the plastic backing and press the adhesive side firmly against the shoe. Put the shoe on again and make sure the insert lies flat without creating pressure beneath the toes.
Choose the thicker massage-dot inserts for high heels or shoes with a stronger downward tilt. Try the lighter pair in flatter shoes or close-fitting footwear where less volume is available.
Product Highlight
👣 Two Levels of Cushioning for Pressure-Prone Feet
So Jelly offers more flexibility than a standard forefoot pad. One pair provides fuller massage-dot cushioning for heels, while the lighter pair adds discreet pressure relief inside flatter or more closely fitted shoes.
Why We Recommend It
This is a small, affordable accessory that can make a meaningful difference in the right shoe. Including two cushioning options is especially useful for dancers who move between performance heels, teaching shoes and everyday footwear.
