Dancing can gradually create areas of thickened skin around the heels, toes and balls of the feet. In The Buff helps keep that build-up smooth and manageable with two different textures in one easy-to-hold tool.

The coarse grey side has larger open pores for working gently over hardened calluses and stubborn rough areas. Turn the stone over to use the finer white side on more sensitive patches or to create a smoother finish after the coarser treatment.

In The Buff is made from premium siliglass, a durable material designed to resist the crumbling associated with many traditional pumice stones. Its rounded shape sits comfortably in the hand, making it easier to control the pressure and concentrate on smaller areas.

Although particularly useful for feet, the finer surface may also be used carefully on rough skin around the hands, elbows and knees.

The Callus Balance Dancers Actually Need

Dancers do not necessarily want every trace of callus removed some thickened skin naturally protects areas exposed to repeated pressure and friction. In The Buff is most useful for gentle maintenance, smoothing raised edges and excessive build-up while leaving feet feeling ready for familiar dance shoes and barefoot movement.

How to Use In The Buff Pumice Stone

Soak the feet in warm water or use the stone towards the end of a shower, when rough skin has had time to soften. Wet the pumice stone before bringing it into contact with the skin.

Use the coarse grey side gently over thicker calluses and hardened patches. Work with light pressure and short back-and-forth movements rather than scrubbing aggressively.

Turn to the fine white side for more sensitive rough areas or to smooth the skin after using the coarse surface. Rinse the feet and stone thoroughly, then apply a suitable foot moisturiser once the skin is dry.
