Description
Description
Make room for the practice that brings everything together.
The Gifted Dancer 212S Single Ballet Barre gives dancers a dedicated place for familiar exercises, thoughtful repetition and preparation for class. Its black metal construction combines a single horizontal barre with two supporting uprights.
With an adjustable height of 81–125 cm and a choice of 1 m or 2 m lengths, you can select a barre to suit your practice space and set the rail at an appropriate height for your dancing.
Gifted Dancer 212S Ballet Barre – Adjustable Support for Regular Practice
A single rail provides a familiar hand position for exercises such as pliés, tendus and controlled rises. Having a dedicated barre makes it easier to revisit the details introduced in class, from careful foot placement to coordinating the working leg with the upper body.
The height adjustment allows the rail to be set for different dancers within its range. Your teacher can help you find a comfortable position where the supporting shoulder stays relaxed and the hand rests lightly on the barre.
The black metal design has a simple, understated appearance that works in a home practice area or dance studio.
Set Your Barre Height
Adjust the rail within the 81–125 cm range to suit your practice.
Choose Your Length
Two rail lengths help you plan around the room you have available.
Bring Class Home
Create a familiar place to revisit exercises recommended by your teacher.
Focus on the Details
Give careful placement, musicality and controlled movement their own practice time.
A Familiar Starting Point for Your Dancing
There is something reassuring about beginning with a simple plié and taking time over the exercises you know. A dedicated barre creates a place for that focus, whether you are revisiting a correction from class or following a familiar sequence at home. Keep the practice manageable, listen to the music and give each movement your attention.
Choosing Between the 1 m and 2 m Barre
1 m – A shorter rail for a smaller practice area. A useful option when planning an individual practice space. Allow room beyond the rail itself for the supporting feet, your body position and movement to the front, side and back.
2 m – A longer rail where space allows. Provides more rail length and flexibility in where you position yourself. Check the room layout and surrounding clearance before choosing this option.
Choose your required length when ordering. The rail measurement is only one part of planning your space: the full base footprint and the exercises you intend to practise also matter.
Setting Up Your Practice Space
Follow the supplied assembly instructions and position the barre on a firm, level surface suitable for dancing. Secure the height adjustment and check the fittings before starting.
Leave clear space around the supports and enough room for your intended movements. Use the barre for light balance assistance during appropriate ballet exercises, keeping your own weight supported through your legs. Avoid hanging from the rail or pulling strongly against it.
For younger dancers, check that the minimum height is appropriate and arrange practice with a teacher’s guidance and suitable adult supervision.
Product Highlight
🩰 Adjustable Height with a Choice of Two Rail Lengths
The combination of 81–125 cm height adjustment and 1 m or 2 m length options lets you choose the 212S around both the dancer and the available practice space.
Why We Recommend It
A considered choice for dancers creating a regular home practice area or adding a single barre to a studio. The adjustable rail height is particularly useful when the equipment needs to accommodate different dancers over time.
Dance World Tip
Before choosing a length, mark out the proposed rail position on the floor with removable tape. Walk through your intended practice area and check clearance for your arms and legs, remembering to allow additional space for the barre’s supports.
