For shoes, use measured foot length as your starting point and always follow the model-specific Dance World Fit Advice shown on the individual product page.

Take dancewear measurements over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. For shoes, measure both feet while standing and use the longer measurement as your general starting point.
BLOCH produces footwear for many different dance disciplines, so there is no single BLOCH shoe conversion that accurately predicts the fit of every model. Ballet, jazz, tap, character, contemporary, dancesport and studio shoes can all use different fitting recommendations. Use the international shoe tables above as a reference only and always follow the model-specific Dance World Fit Advice shown on the individual product page.

Description
Description
A Dance-Bag Favourite, Chosen Your Way
One of Dance World’s bestselling training essentials, the BLOCH A0925 Resistance Band is a simple, useful companion for foot exercises, strengthening and controlled flexibility work. Its flexible latex adds resistance to familiar movements while folding neatly into your dance bag between sessions.
Choose the strength that suits your practice: Light, Medium or Heavy. Each colour is sold separately, with one band supplied per purchase.
BLOCH A0925 Resistance Band – Design & Dance Training
This flat, open-ended latex band measures approximately 135 cm long and 15 cm wide. Its broad surface allows you to spread the band across the ball of the foot for selected exercises, while the free ends give you room to adjust your hand position.
The latex creates increasing tension as it stretches, making the working movement more demanding and asking you to control the return. For dancers, that makes it useful for practising deliberate foot articulation and adding resistance to exercises chosen for the feet, ankles, legs or upper body.
The open format also allows the working length to change with your grip. A shorter working section generally creates more tension for the same movement, while leaving more length can make the exercise gentler. Combine that adjustment with an appropriate resistance level so you can move smoothly without gripping, twisting or forcing your range.
Choose What You Need
Buy your preferred resistance individually and build your kit at your own pace.
Make Footwork More Mindful
Add a measured challenge to pointing, flexing and controlled foot exercises.
Packs Flat, Works Hard
Folds into your dance bag for classes, workshops and training away from home.
Several Ways to Train
Use for selected lower- or upper-body exercises alongside your usual conditioning.
From Your Dance Bag to Your Practice Space
There is something reassuring about having a familiar training tool ready when you need it. Unfold your band, settle into a teacher-approved exercise and take a moment to concentrate on the movement: how evenly your foot presses, whether your ankle stays aligned and how smoothly you return. A0925 makes that focused work easy to bring along, whether you are preparing for class or following a short conditioning routine at home.
Choose Your BLOCH Resistance
The colours identify different resistance levels. Start with the lightest option that provides a useful challenge while allowing a comfortable, controlled movement. Your best choice may change between exercises.
Light – Mint Green
The gentlest option for learning controlled exercises, detailed foot work or lighter mobility routines. Useful whenever you need a softer pull to maintain precise movement.
Supplied: One Light band.
Medium – Teal Blue
A middle resistance for familiar foot, ankle and general conditioning exercises when you can manage more tension without changing your placement or rushing the return.
Supplied: One Medium band.
Heavy – Royal Blue
The firmest option for selected strengthening exercises that need greater resistance. Choose it when you can keep the full exercise smooth and controlled throughout.
Supplied: One Heavy band.
Each colour is sold separately. Select your preferred resistance before adding the band to your basket.
A stronger band is not automatically the better choice. Even an experienced dancer may prefer Light for a precise foot exercise and a different resistance for larger muscle groups.
Where It Fits into a Dancer’s Training
- Foot and ankle exercises: The broad band can be positioned securely across the ball of the foot for seated pointing and flexing, following your teacher’s guidance.
- Pointe preparation: Teachers may include resistance-band exercises within a wider preparation programme. Band work supports conditioning; readiness for pointe still needs individual assessment.
- Strength and control: Add resistance to selected arm, leg or upper-body exercises, choosing the band and setup to suit the movement.
- Controlled flexibility: Use gentle tension to assist an appropriate stretch, staying within a comfortable range and allowing your body to release gradually.
For beginners and younger dancers, a few well-taught exercises are a useful starting point. Experienced students and professionals can work with their teacher or conditioning specialist to make the band part of a more specific programme.
Train Smart
Contains latex. Do not use if you have a latex allergy. Inspect the band before every session for tears, thinning, cracks or changes in the surface. Keep it away from sharp nails and jewellery, check your grip and any anchor carefully, and never pull a stretched band towards your face.
Keep movements slow enough to control both the stretch and the return. Avoid bouncing, forcing turnout or using the band to pull your body beyond a comfortable range. Stop if you experience pain, numbness, tingling or loss of control.
Young dancers should train with suitable supervision and teacher guidance. Exercises following an injury should be selected by a qualified healthcare professional.
Product Highlight
🎯 Your Resistance, One Band at a Time
A0925 combines a versatile open-band format with three individually sold resistance choices, making it easy to select the strength your current routine needs. Buy one to begin, replace a well-used favourite or add another resistance when a different exercise calls for it.
Why We Recommend It
This is a practical best buy for dancers who know which resistance they need, or want to start with one useful band. Its broad latex format suits detailed foot exercises as well as selected conditioning work, and the individual colour choices let you add to your training kit as your routine develops.
Dance World Tip
When an exercise starts to feel easier, pay attention to the return before choosing a stronger band. Aim to release the tension as smoothly as you created it. If your toes curl, your ankle rolls or your shoulders lift, ease the tension and reset your placement.
