Description
Description
Bring more structure to your practice space.
The Gifted Dancer Parallel Ballet Barre 212P creates a dedicated area for ballet exercises, with two parallel 2m rails supported by adjustable uprights. Its arrangement allows dancers to work on either side, making it a practical option when planning a studio or a shared practice area.
With a height range of 81–125cm, the barre can be adjusted to suit the dancer and the exercise. Use it for the steady, attentive repetition that underpins ballet training, from pliés and tendus to controlled rises and teacher-guided technique work.
Gifted Dancer 212P – Parallel Rails for Studio Practice
The 212P combines two full-length rails in one freestanding structure. This gives teachers and dancers another way to organise the room, with access from both sides and flexibility to position the barre within the available practice space.
Each rail measures 2m, while the two adjustable uprights support the height setting. The black metal construction provides a straightforward studio appearance that works alongside mirrors, dance flooring and other training equipment.
Choosing an appropriate barre height helps the dancer rest a hand comfortably while keeping the supporting shoulder relaxed. Your teacher can help establish a suitable position for your proportions and the exercises being practised.
Access from Both Sides
Parallel rails offer a useful arrangement for shared practice and teacher-led sessions.
Adjust Your Barre Height
Set the height within the 81–125cm range to suit the dancer’s proportions and practice.
Two 2m Rails
A generous rail length gives you options when organising positions along the barre.
Plan Your Practice Area
A freestanding format lets you arrange the barre around your room and teaching needs.
Where a Class Finds Its Rhythm
The first exercises at the barre are a chance to settle into the music, listen to a correction and notice the details of each movement. A thoughtfully arranged practice area gives those moments room to happen. Whether a teacher is watching a tendu from another angle or dancers are working through a familiar combination, the 212P provides a shared starting point for focused training.
Planning Space Around Your Parallel Barre
For studio use: Allow clear working space on both sides, together with access around the ends. Position dancers according to the movement being taught, leaving enough room for arms and legs to extend without crossing another dancer’s space.
For home practice: Check the complete assembled footprint before ordering. The 2m rail length is only one measurement to consider; the base and the space needed to move around it also need to fit comfortably within the room.
For shared sessions: Plan positions around the dancers’ proportions, the exercises and the manufacturer’s use limits. The number of rails alone does not determine how many people should use the barre at once.
Setting Up for Regular Practice
Follow the supplied assembly and adjustment instructions, position the barre on a firm, level surface and check that fittings and height adjustments are secure before use. Keep the surrounding floor clear of bags and other equipment.
Use the barre for light balance assistance during appropriate ballet exercises. Avoid hanging from it or using it for bodyweight suspension. Younger dancers should have their teacher check that the minimum height and overall setup are suitable.
Product Highlight
🩰 Two Parallel Rails for a Shared Practice Space
The 212P brings together two 2m rails, adjustable uprights and a freestanding design, giving studios a practical way to create a barre area with access from either side.
Why We Recommend It
This model is a useful choice for teachers and dancers planning a dedicated practice space where access around the barre matters. Its parallel layout offers options for positioning and observation, while the adjustable height helps tailor the setup to the dancer.
Dance World Tip
When planning a shared barre session, walk through the combination on both sides before assigning positions. Check the space needed for side extensions, port de bras and changes of direction, as well as the teacher’s route around the group.
