When selecting dancewear, the most relevant measurement is the girth (also known as torso length). To measure accurately, start at one shoulder, pass the tape measure through the legs, and bring it back to the same shoulder. This ensures the best fit for leotards and unitards. -

If you find yourself between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size. A snug fit is essential, but dancewear should allow for flexibility and movement without restriction. -
Fabric Differences Affect Fit

Grishko HA2004G Long Hair Pins – Extra Hold for Full Ballet Buns
The open hair-pin shape catches a section from the outer edge of the bun before anchoring it into the hair beneath. The extended length reaches through a greater amount of hair, making HA2004G particularly useful when shorter pins cannot connect the outer bun securely to its base.
Measuring approximately 7.6cm / 3 inches, these are the longest pins within Grishko’s coordinated short, medium and long hair-pin range. They are designed for long, thick or layered hair and larger buns where deeper anchoring provides more dependable support.
A waved grip design helps the pins hold within the hairstyle, while the strong metal construction supports regular studio and performance use. Smooth, rounded ends allow the pins to be positioned more comfortably when inserted with the correct technique.

Dance World Tip
The longest pin is not automatically the best pin, the correct length should reach the bun’s base without pressing uncomfortably against the scalp. Catch a small section from the outer edge, point the pin slightly away from the bun, turn it back towards the centre and slide it into the ponytail base. If the pin pushes through the opposite side or feels uncomfortable, move down to the 6.35cm medium length.
