Care information
International shoe sizes can vary slightly between brands and models. Use your measured foot length as the best starting point, then compare it with the individual brand's size recommendation. Where a product page gives model-specific sizing advice, that guidance should always take priority over a general conversion chart.

Never choose a dance shoe from conversion alone. Ballet, jazz, ballroom and character shoes can fit very differently depending on the last, upper material, width and intended level of compression. Use this table to understand international equivalents, then follow the fit advice for the individual shoe.
How to Measure Your Feet for Dance Shoes
Measure both feet while standing, preferably later in the day. Use the longer foot when comparing your measurement with a shoe size chart.
Foot Length
Key MeasurementStand with your heel lightly against a wall and place your foot flat on a sheet of paper. Mark the end of your longest toe and measure the distance from the wall to the mark.
Measure in centimetres for the most accurate comparison with international shoe charts.
Measure Both Feet
Repeat the measurement on the other foot. It is very common for one foot to be slightly longer than the other, so always use the larger measurement when choosing your starting size.
Foot Width
Measure across or around the widest part of the forefoot. Width can be just as important as length in dance shoes, particularly in fitted ballet, jazz and ballroom styles.
Measure While Standing
Take measurements with your full weight on your feet. Standing allows the foot to spread naturally and gives a more realistic measurement than measuring while sitting.
Check the Dance Fit
A correctly fitted dance shoe should feel secure without restricting the toes or causing pressure. Different dance disciplines require different amounts of growing room, compression and heel security, so always follow the model-specific Dance World Fit Advice.
This chart is designed as an international reference rather than a replacement for individual brand sizing. Bloch, Capezio, So Danca, IDS, PortDance, Diamant and other dance footwear brands may use their own conversion systems or fit differently from standard street shoes. Always use the individual product's Dance World Fit Advice where available.

Description
Description
The International Dance Shoes L3007 Tan Satin Latin Shoe is one of those rare styles that can follow a dancer surprisingly far. Soft, lightweight and flexible enough to feel approachable from the beginning, yet balanced and responsive enough for experienced and competition dancers, L3007 combines classic Latin styling with a particularly versatile 2.5" flare heel and IDS's clever three-way strap system.
IDS L3007 Personality
Balanced • Flexible • Versatile • Dancer-Proven
L3007 doesn't belong neatly in a beginner or advanced box - and that's one of its strengths. It's approachable enough to become a dancer's first proper Latin sandal, but it doesn't feel like a shoe you'll immediately grow out of technically. The tan satin, classic strappy front and 2.5" flare heel give it a traditional Latin identity, while the flexible construction keeps everything light and responsive on the foot.
International Dance Shoes L3007 - Design & Performance
The 2.5" IDS flare heel gives L3007 a noticeably more developed Latin position than the lower social styles in our collection. The heel raises and pitches the foot for Latin movement, but its flared base creates a broader contact point with the floor than a narrow competition heel, giving dancers a reassuring balance between height and stability.
That balance is one reason L3007 works across such a wide range of experience levels. A progressing dancer can develop confidence in a proper Latin heel, while experienced dancers, teachers and competitors can still appreciate a stable, uncomplicated shoe for training and performance.
Across the forefoot, slender satin straps create the traditional open Latin silhouette and allow the foot to articulate freely. The construction is deliberately soft, light and flexible, helping the shoe move with the foot rather than feeling overly structured around it.
Underfoot, gel padding adds welcome cushioning without turning L3007 into a heavy comfort shoe. The suede dance sole provides the familiar balance of glide, grip and turning control required for Latin, Salsa and other indoor social dance styles.
One of the cleverest details is the adaptable three-way strap. It can be configured under the foot, wrapped around the ankle or shortened to sit directly across the ankle, allowing dancers to experiment with the configuration that feels most secure and comfortable for their foot.
IDS's quick-release hook buckle makes getting in and out considerably easier too: once you've adjusted the buckle position, the hook fastening can be released without repeatedly undoing the strap.

The Dance World Ballroom Shoe DNA™ compares the defining characteristics of Ballroom and Latin dance shoes. A higher score does not necessarily mean a better shoe - it shows the balance of comfort, stability, flexibility, floor control and support.
Dance World Notes
A shoe you don't necessarily outgrow.
L3007 is beginner-friendly, but it isn't only a beginner shoe. IDS specifically positions this model for everyone from social dancers and students through to teachers and competition dancers. That makes it a particularly good investment when you're progressing and don't want to replace your shoes simply because your dancing improves.
Three-way really does mean three-way.
The strap can run under the foot, wrap around the ankle or be shortened to sit directly across it. It's an unusually useful bit of adjustability, particularly if you already know how you prefer your Latin shoes to feel.
Dance World Fit Advice
Overall Fit
Our IDS L3007 generally fits true to size. We recommend beginning with your usual UK dance shoe size.
Forefoot
Latin shoes should hold the forefoot closely rather than leaving growing or walking-shoe room ahead of the toes. The soft open construction allows the foot to settle naturally into the front as the shoe is worn.
Heel & Strap
The heel should sit securely without lifting during movement. Experiment with the three-way strap configuration to find the position that gives your foot the best combination of security and comfort.
Dance World sizing recommendations are intended as a guide. Latin shoe fit is individual and can vary with foot width, toe shape, instep height and personal preference.
