Six Metres of Colour in Motion
The Anniel 4102 Rhythmic Gymnastics Ribbon transforms every movement into sweeping circles, spirals, snakes and flowing trails of colour. A 6m satin ribbon, 56cm stick and connecting clip create a complete apparatus set for rhythmic gymnastics training and routines.
Anniel 4102 Rhythmic Gymnastics Ribbon – Design & Movement
The single-colour satin ribbon measures 6 metres from end to end, creating the long, continuous visual line associated with rhythmic gymnastics. Its smooth surface responds to changes in direction, allowing the gymnast to explore circles, spirals, snakes, figure-eights and travelling patterns.
A reinforced metal eyelet connects the ribbon to the supplied 56cm stick through a metal clip and swivel-style linkage. This allows the ribbon to move around the attachment point as the gymnast changes direction and works through continuous patterns.
The slender white stick keeps the focus on the moving ribbon and provides the reach needed to direct a full 6m length. Ribbon, stick and connecting hardware are supplied together, so the apparatus can be prepared for training without purchasing each component separately.
Available in Purple, Red, Yellow, Blue, Fuchsia and Pink, 4102 makes it easy to choose a favourite colour or coordinate the apparatus with a leotard, routine theme or team presentation.
Coordinate the ribbon with a leotard, routine theme or simply a favourite shade.
Practise individual shapes before connecting them into longer musical sequences.
The 6m length creates dramatic trails of colour across open training and performance spaces.
Ribbon, stick and connecting hardware arrive together and ready to prepare for practice.
When the Apparatus Becomes Part of the Choreography
Ribbon work combines movement, musicality and fine hand control in a particularly visual way. Small adjustments at the wrist travel through the full length of the satin, revealing whether a spiral is even, a snake remains continuous or a change of direction is clean. As confidence develops, the colour begins to feel less like a separate prop and more like an extension of the gymnast’s choreography.
Is a 6m Rhythmic Gymnastics Ribbon Right for My Gymnast?
This is a full-length 6m ribbon. It creates impressive extended patterns but also requires more space, coordination and continuous movement than a shorter junior or beginner ribbon.
Some younger or less experienced gymnasts may be asked to begin with a shorter ribbon while developing control. Choose the length specified by the gymnast’s coach, particularly when purchasing for graded work, competition or a particular age category.
If the ribbon is required for an official event, confirm the current apparatus rules and approval requirements with the coach or competition organiser before purchasing.
How to Use a Rhythmic Gymnastics Ribbon
- Attach the metal clip securely to the reinforced eyelet at the end of the ribbon.
- Check that the connector moves freely and that the ribbon is not twisted before beginning.
- Hold the stick lightly while keeping the wrist and fingers responsive.
- Begin with large circles, snakes and spirals before progressing to changes of direction, throws and more complex combinations.
- Keep the ribbon moving continuously to help prevent the fabric from collapsing or forming knots.
Always practise in a clear indoor space with enough height and floor area for the full 6m ribbon. Keep away from other gymnasts, lights, furniture and surrounding equipment.
Product Highlight
🎀 Full-Length Satin Colour for Rhythmic Movement
Anniel 4102 gives rhythmic gymnasts a complete apparatus for developing flowing shapes and expressive routines. A 6m single-colour satin ribbon connects to the supplied 56cm stick, creating long visual trails for circles, spirals, snakes and choreographed movement.
Why We Recommend It
This is a colourful and accessible full-length ribbon set for gymnasts who are ready to work with 6 metres of fabric. Having the ribbon, stick and connector together makes preparation straightforward, while the six colour choices allow the apparatus to feel personal to the gymnast or coordinated with a routine.
Dance World Tip
Choose a ribbon colour that contrasts with the gymnast’s leotard and the performance background so the shapes remain clearly visible. After training, remove any knots gently rather than pulling them tight, then roll the ribbon smoothly from one end to help preserve a clean, crease-free line.
