For Intermezzo leotards, prioritise girth if your measurements point to different sizes. A dancer may fit one size through the chest and waist but need the next size for comfortable torso length. If you are between sizes, the larger size is usually the better starting point.
How to Measure for Intermezzo Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.
Girth
Key MeasurementUsing a flexible tape measure, start at the centre of one shoulder. Bring the tape down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back up to the same shoulder, creating one complete loop.

Chest
Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape straight and level around the body without compressing it.
Waist
Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Keep the tape level and comfortably close to the body.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat while standing naturally. Keep the tape level all the way around.
Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not part of Intermezzo's women's garment size table, but it is useful when considering overall proportions and whether a dancer may need more length through the torso.
Intermezzo women's dancewear runs from XS through XL in the brand's main size guide, although individual styles may be offered in a smaller size range. Leotards should fit closely without restricting movement. Designs using lace, flocked tulle, mesh or structured neckline details can feel slightly different from simpler stretch styles, so use girth as the main reference and follow any product-specific Dance World fit advice where provided.

Contrast floral lace frames the neckline and shoulders before continuing around a generous back opening. With the familiar soft feel, good compression and comfortable support of Meryl, Heaven brings a romantic finish to ballet class, rehearsal and performance styling.
Intermezzo Heaven Sleeveless Leotard – Design & Performance
A wide, gently curved neckline sits above a sheer floral lace panel across the upper chest. The lace continues over the covered bust, giving the front its layered detail, while the plain lower body keeps the overall shape clean. Black binding outlines the neckline and armholes, neatly framing the sleeveless cut.
At the back, the floral lace surrounds a large teardrop opening, edged with matching black binding. A small clasp at the back neckline secures the top of the opening. The lace across the shoulders and upper back keeps the pattern visible as you turn, while the central opening leaves much of the back uncovered.
The Meryl® body contains 92% polyamide and 8% elastane, offering a soft, lightweight feel with comfortable stretch and quick-drying properties.
