For Intermezzo leotards, prioritise girth if your measurements point to different sizes. A dancer may fit one size through the chest and waist but need the next size for comfortable torso length. If you are between sizes, the larger size is usually the better starting point.
How to Measure for Intermezzo Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.
Girth
Key MeasurementUsing a flexible tape measure, start at the centre of one shoulder. Bring the tape down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back up to the same shoulder, creating one complete loop.

Height
Stand straight without shoes, with feet flat on the floor, and measure from the floor to the top of the head.
Height is not part of Intermezzo's women's garment size table, but it is useful when considering overall proportions and whether a dancer may need more length through the torso.
Intermezzo women's dancewear runs from XS through XL in the brand's main size guide, although individual styles may be offered in a smaller size range. Leotards should fit closely without restricting movement. Intermezzo Hadassah Ballet Leotard – Design & Performance
A wide, gently curved mesh neckline sits above a sweetheart-shaped bodice. A small centre-front gather softens the line across the bust, adding detail without interrupting the smooth body below. The sleeveless cut leaves the arms free, while narrow matching binding gives the neckline a neat finish.
At the back, a low U-shaped opening is framed by a curved band of sheer mesh. This follows the back line from the shoulders towards the waist, creating a light border above the main body fabric. The result is a simple back view with just enough detail to complement the gathered front.
The Meryl® body contains 92% polyamide and 8% elastane, combining a soft touch with stretch and quick-drying properties. Good compression and support provide a comfortable hold, while the soft front lining adds an extra layer beneath the bodice. The upper neckline and mesh back border remain sheer.
