Description

When the Grip Wears Down, Bring It Back

The E6000 Traction Spray for Apolla Shocks provides a simple way to refresh traction when your favourite Apolla grip socks begin to feel too slippery. A light application helps bring back the level of control you prefer without replacing an otherwise perfectly wearable pair.

E6000 Traction Spray for Apolla Shocks – Grip Care & Application

Apolla traction is intentionally customisable. It begins with a stronger, stickier feel and gradually wears down as the socks are used. Some dancers prefer this softer level of grip, while others want to restore more resistance for smooth studio or stage surfaces.

E6000 Spray Adhesive is Apolla’s recommended traction refresher. Apply 5–10 pumps across the traction base, allow the product to dry fully and then assess the grip during movement. Further applications can be made when the socks begin to feel too slippery again.

The non-aerosol pump bottle allows the spray to be directed onto the grip areas beneath the foot. It should be applied only to the traction—not to the upper fabric, skin, footwear or studio floor.

Each bottle contains 4oz / approximately 118ml. Because only a small application is required at a time, it is a practical addition to a dancer’s maintenance kit or shared studio supplies.

The Small Bottle That Keeps Your Grip Personal

Different floors, and different dancers need different levels of resistance. One studio may feel secure while another leaves the same pair of Shocks sliding more freely. E6000 allows dancers to refresh their traction when they need more control, making it easier to adapt an existing pair to regular training, rehearsals and changing performance spaces.

How to Refresh Apolla Traction

  1. Make sure the Apolla Shocks are completely dry and the traction areas are free from loose dirt or debris.
  2. Place the socks sole-up on a protected, washable surface.
  3. Shake the E6000 bottle thoroughly before use.
  4. Apply approximately 5–10 pumps across the traction base, concentrating only on the existing grip areas.
  5. Allow the spray to dry fully before putting the socks on or stepping onto the studio floor.
  6. Test the floor feel carefully and reapply only when more traction is needed.

Some dancers gently rub the traction areas together as the spray dries. Grip preference is personal, so begin with the recommended application rather than heavily coating the socks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the spray work with every Apolla style?
It is intended for Apolla Shocks that have traction applied beneath the foot. It is unnecessary for non-traction versions.

How often should I refresh the grip?
There is no fixed schedule. Reapply when the traction begins to feel too slippery for your preferred floor and movement style. This may be after several washes or more frequently for dancers who use their Shocks heavily.

Do new Apolla Shocks need to be sprayed immediately?
Usually not. Apolla traction begins with a deliberately sticky feel and becomes less resistant as it is broken in. Use the spray when the grip reaches a level you want to maintain or when it becomes too slippery.

Should I spray it directly onto the studio floor?
No. Apply the product only to the existing traction areas on the bottom of the Apolla Shocks.

How long should it dry?
Apolla describes the refresher as fast drying, but the grip should feel fully dry before the socks are worn. Drying time can vary depending on how heavily it is applied.

Can the refreshed grip leave a residue?
Apolla notes that a small number of users may notice tacky residue during the first few wears. Lift it gently and clean the floor with warm water and a fresh microfibre cloth. If transfer occurs, wash the Shocks inside out once or twice before wearing them again.

Product Highlight

💧 Refreshable Traction in a Simple Pump Spray

E6000 helps dancers get more consistent use from their traction Apolla Shocks. A light 5–10 pump application refreshes grip beneath the foot, allowing each dancer to maintain the level of resistance that suits their movement and studio floor.

Why We Recommend It

This is a genuinely useful companion product for Apolla traction styles. Grip naturally changes through wear and washing, but the sock itself may still be in excellent condition. Keeping a refresher available allows dancers to restore traction when needed rather than replacing a supportive pair prematurely.

Dance World Tip

Do not wait until the traction has completely disappeared. When your Shocks reach the level of grip that feels best, begin refreshing them lightly as required. Always test the floor feel before dancing at full intensity, particularly after a new application.
