If the girth is close to the upper limit, or the dancer has a longer torso, sizing up usually gives a more comfortable result without losing the close ballet silhouette.
How to Measure for Ballet Rosa Dancewear
Measure over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.

If the dancer has a longer torso or the girth sits near the top of a size range, consider the next size up. Ballet Rosa also notes that a Long Torso adjustment of approximately 2 cm / 1" can sometimes be appropriate.

Skylar’s gently flared high-low silhouette curves upwards at the sides and falls longer through the back. This graduated hem frames the upper legs and gives the skirt a soft sweep as you turn, with a short, practical shape for regular studio wear.
The skirt body is made from four-way stretch mesh containing 94% polyamide and 6% elastane. Fine and lightweight, it drapes easily around the hips and responds to movement through the legs. Its sheer finish allows the leotard and tights underneath to remain visible, adding a delicate layer around the body.
