How to Measure for Mondor Gymnastics Leotards

Measure over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. Stand naturally and keep the tape comfortably against the body without pulling it tight.

Girth

Key Measurement

Start at the centre of one shoulder. Bring the tape down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back up to the same shoulder in one complete loop.

Bust / Chest

Measure around the fullest part of the bust or chest, keeping the tape level around the body without compressing it.

Can We Pair This Leotard with Gymnastics Shorts?

For classes that allow them, close-fitting gymnastics shorts can be worn over a leotard to add coverage around the hips and upper legs. Check your club’s clothing guidance first, particularly for displays or competitions where a specific outfit may be required.

Try the leotard and shorts together before class. Ask your child to reach and bend gently, checking that the waistband feels comfortable and the layers do not bunch. The leotard should still fit comfortably on its own; shorts are an optional extra layer.
