Care information

Return every needle, pin and tool to the tin immediately after use and keep the case securely closed inside the dance bag.

Before Choosing Your Size

Take dancewear measurements over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. For shoes, measure both feet while standing and use the longer measurement as your general starting point.

Bust / Chest Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape straight and level.

Waist Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso.

Hips Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat, keeping the tape level.

Girth Start at one shoulder, measure down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back to the same shoulder in one continuous loop.

Foot Length Measure from heel to longest toe while standing. Measure both feet and use the longer measurement as your general starting point.

BLOCH A0527 Pointe Shoe Sewing Kit – Contents & Everyday Use

Inside the Pink storage tin is approximately 1.8m of stretch satin ribbon and 50cm of covert elastic. These provide the core materials needed to prepare one pair of pointe shoes, subject to the attachment method recommended by the dancer’s teacher or fitter.

The satin ribbon has flexible stretch that follows changes in the ankle and heel as the dancer moves through plié, demi-pointe and pointe. Covert elastic helps hold the heel of the shoe while maintaining a discreet finish against ballet tights and pink satin.
