Care information

Return the accessories to the tin after use and keep them clean and dry. Remove hairs from the elastics and pins regularly so everything remains ready for the next class.

Replace stretched or damaged elastics, torn nets and pins that have become bent, rusty or rough. Do not use any pin with a sharp or damaged coating.

Insert hairpins carefully so they hold the hair without pressing painfully into the scalp. Younger dancers should have adult help when using the pins.

Before Choosing Your Size

Take dancewear measurements over underwear or close-fitting clothing using a flexible tape measure. For shoes, measure both feet while standing and use the longer measurement as your general starting point.

Bust / Chest Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape straight and level.

Waist Measure around the natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso.

Hips Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat, keeping the tape level.

Girth Start at one shoulder, measure down the front of the torso, through the crotch and back to the same shoulder in one continuous loop.

Foot Length Measure from heel to longest toe while standing. Measure both feet and use the longer measurement as your general starting point.

The BLOCH A0801 Ballet Bun Hair Kit takes the last-minute searching out of dance preparation. Hairpins, bobby pins, elastics and nets are kept together inside a compact tin, ready for weekly classes, examinations, rehearsals and performance days.

BLOCH A0801 Hair Kit – Complete Ballet Bun Essentials

Inside the tin are two hair nets, fifteen 3-inch hairpins, ten 2-inch hairpins, six bobby pins and four hair elastics. A simple how-to guide is also included for dancers and parents who are still learning how to create a neat, secure ballet bun.

The two hairpin lengths make the kit easier to adapt to different hair lengths and bun sizes. Longer 3-inch pins provide useful reach through fuller buns, while the shorter 2-inch pins can be easier to position around smaller or finer styles.
